About the author

Guy is an award-winning author whose children's books series include Stitch Head, Skeleton Keys, Dinkin Dings, Spynosaur, The Legend of Frog and Atomic! In 2010 Dinkin Dings and the Frightening Things won the Blue Peter Award for Most Fun Book with Pictures.

Guy's has also written plays for both adults and children. He has previously been a theatre producer, illustrator, temp, gerbil whisperer and has acted his way out of several paper bags.


Guy spent his childhood reading comics and hoping one day to become a superhero. He spends his adulthood in more or less the same way.

Guy lives in London with his wife and no dog - yet.

What do you do when you can’t concentrate for long? You pick up a kids book of course! I was lucky enough to win this in a giveaway on Twitter and I can honestly say it’s saved my bookworm bacon!

A fun, spooky and clever little story which would delight any child or adult for that matter. Wonderful characters, fantastic artwork throughout and altogether a whole lot of fun! Highly recommend for confident readers aged 6+

What a hum-dum-dinger of a story and the revelation/ plot twist was mind boggling fun. This is definitely something I would have loved to have read as a child. Can't wait for the next adventure and looking forward to reading the Stitch Head series. Why have I never read any of these books by Guy Bass and the amazing ilustrator Pete Williamson, before? This series is bound to open many doors to hidden worlds. I wonder what other worlds lay undiscovered in the next series.

Also, I wish I could have unimagined my imaginary friends :)

Another slapstick funny from Guy Bass. Fantastically illustrated by Pete Williamon. A great adventure for the young kiddy winkles with a massive dollop of mayhem and a mountain of madness. LOOK forward to more SKELTON KEYS - will return! A great series for age 7+!

Fabulous story.
I wasn't sure before I started it but it was so good and read it in one day.
The plot was brilliant and the characters were brilliant.

The first one was a good stepping stone. This one was a great sequel. Made me want to pick up the third immediately and see what else these characters will get up to. Good twists and well-written. Definitely a good addition to the series.

The Haunting of Luna Moon is so good!

It's creepy, but sweet, mysterious and so, so clever. It took turns I never saw coming that blew me away.

I love the joyous manipulation of language, and Daisy the sarky sidekick.

Another rip roaring, Unimaginary tale! Guy Bass is my go to for a funny, pacey, read for seven to ten year olds. An interesting concept of imaginary friends coming to life, becoming Unimaginary. Skeleton Keys and Daisy to the rescue! Fabulous!
