Was really good

This book had me from the beginning. I loved the twists and turns, the fact that it wasn’t predictable really kept my interest. Boy did a lot of things need fixing, humans where treated awful, I found the witches for the most part to be manipulative out of control “witches” lol.

The book was really quite good, written very well and quite worth the read.

Interesting series

Ishoukd have read this series first but I didn't as it would have made more sense rather than reading about Selena and Torrence first. Regardlrss it was an enjoyable series, interesting characters and life choices with consequences that determined their destiny.

I was not a fan of this series. The book started with killing not necessary to the story and continued throughout. It repeated the same story lines over and over and over again as if the reader didn't understand it the first 10 times it was written. Half of the book was just the same thing written again and again. It had potential to be a feel good story but there was too much negative story lines to enjoy the read. I purchased the entire set so I read it but half way through I was only reading every other paragraph just to get done . I wasted my money and 2 days of my time. This is from my perspective.

It's a mixture of Disney movies, Aladdin, beauty and the beast, mixed with Buffy the vampire Slayer.. entertaining, but not amazing.

Great series

Michelle Madow is a new author for me. I'm always looking for new and interesting books while waiting for other series books to come out from other authors, but this is how I find the authors that write great stories. I read sci-fi, fantasy, fiction to Regency, historical, contemporary romance. But I always seem to migrate towards The montage of supernatural. The vampire wish series was well written, creative, fast paced with nice detail about the environments. Making you feel like you were watching a movie while reading. Ms.Madow developed strong characters with depth in personality and believability. I enjoyed this series so much I'm going to read the next with Noah and Raven. If you like fantasy with all otherworldly supernatural beings i recommend the vampire wish.

Solid read. The writer’s style, carries a lot of useless information and character “inner dialogue” that is repetitive. However, it has a good story and she ties her series together really well. I can’t go over 3 stars because I have read most all of the series and it’s true across the board.

It's not a bad series. A mixture of every vampire book / fairytale you have read rolled into one. Very PG, so great for young readers who love the supernatural. Witches, vampires, mages, angels, demons, fae, magic rings, and a semi reality show, this book has it all!

If you love ❤️ vampire romance novels then this is the set for you... These wonderful books have sexy (clean) romance, witch magic, blood slaves, werewolves and 👼 angels. I am not going to go into any details because I don't want to give away any of the glorious details of these delicious 😋 books. I highly recommend these 📚 books to anyone who cannot resist walking by a vampire novel, I have read a lot of vampire and werewolf novels and these are about the best of the bunch. Do yourself a favor and rush to the buy button and order these books. You won't regret this decision... HAPPY READING...

As this tale concludes, Annika becomes an angel and saves the world with a handsome man by her side, all while becoming the queen of her own palace. A bit cheesy, right? Well, in my opinion, YES. This might be the one of the worst mystical series I have ever read and it is as corny as possible, great for a younger, but aware, audience. I would never recommend this series to anyone because it is more of a comedy than it is paranormal. The series did have a happy ending, but is a huge cringe-giver.

*****Spoilers*****

I'm not sure what it was about this book but I couldn't force myself to finish it. I rolled my eyes at the parts where Annika thinks Jacen used her and where she began to lose trust in him because he lied about not only being a vampire but THE vampire prince that went on a killing rampage in the village. Annika wants to be turned into a vampire so that she's not weak and hatches a plan to kill the vampire queen. Maybe it's the predicable nature of the book and characters but I wasn't engaged in the book even though the story seems interesting.

At first I was really enjoying the book. But this book need an editor. Previous points in the story would get explained over and over again, it was very annoying. The final book in the series took me over a week to complete because I was just not that interested anymore. It just didn't do it for me. The only reason I finally finished it was because I wouldn't let myself start a new book till I finished this one.

If you’re already familiar with this series’ author you know she specializes in YA paranormal romances. And if you’ve read the blurb, you already know a lot about this story. So hopefully I’ll manage to keep this review brief and concise. As there are only the mildest of sexual references and no F-bombs, and other than the scenes of extreme and sometimes bloody violence (that begin in the very first pages) in what are pretty much 5 novella length books, IMHO this series is acceptable for young teens.
When I first began reading this series I thought it was a mashup of the Twilight movie series and the bachelor television show. But as I continued to read the series with each new chapter the author seemed to add new characters and twists and turns to the plot. There were spots in series where I began to lose interest. But there were far more spots where I couldn’t put the book down. Or in my case my Kindle.
Annika Pearce recently graduated from high school, planning on attending college in her home state of Florida has lived a very privileged upper middle-class life. But all that changes when on a ski vacation with her family in the Canadian Rockies (how someone who grew up in Florida knows how to snow ski is a real question?) her parents and brother are attacked and murdered by vampires and she’s captured and taken to the Vail a secret village ruled by Queen Layla (one of six living original vampires) and her vampires, where humans are used as blood slaves to feed the vampires who rule. The humans (some born there and some like Annika kidnapped) are treated as little more than livestock, allowed to live a meager life devoid of simple luxuries or even a decent variety of food as long as they report for their monthly donation of blood. Those who are caught breaking the rules are taken to the palace dungeon where they are drained of blood by the royals who are the only ones allowed to ingest human blood straight from the source. Those who attempt to escape the village are quickly captured and killed by the wolf shifters who live just outside of the Vail. Fast forward a year after the slaughter of her family and her capture and Annika has decided that if she doesn’t want to spend the rest of her life as a weak victim of the vampires she must herself become one. What she’s unaware of is only a member of the royal family is allowed to turn a human into a vampire and then only with the rare permission of the Queen herself.
Jacen was an Olympic caliber swimmer when he was turned by Queen Layla just before Annika was kidnapped. Because he was turned by the Queen he is a vampire prince of the Vail. But because after he was turned before he learned to control his blood lust he killed dozens of humans in the village, he’s been restricted to living in the castle until he proves he can control himself around humans. Jacen hates himself even more than he hates Queen Layla for turning him. He sees himself as a loathsome monster for killing all those humans. His goal is to prove he can control his blood lust so that he can leave the palace and escape the Vail. But on his first foray outside of the palace unaccompanied by his guards he meets the blood slave Annika. He pretends to be human so that he can spend some time with her. Something about her beyond her human blood calls to him. This begins their often twisted and troubled relationship which serves as the thread of the main story in the series. But it’s far from the only story. While most of the short chapters are devoted to either Annika or Jacen, several other characters get their own chapters and stories that dovetail into the main story leading to enough intrigue to make Machiavelli proud.
While I enjoyed this series the ending left me wanting. A couple of characters whom I thought performed unforgivable acts didn’t in my opinion receive their just punishment. At least not in this series. And that’s my biggest problem with this series. It doesn’t really bring Annika’s and Jacen’s or several of the other characters stories to a conclusion. There’s at least one follow on series and possibly more making the end of this five book series a cliffhanger. And seriously IMHO after reading five books I feel like I and other readers deserved a true ending.

Had to deduct a star…

I read the first book in this box series, and it was a chore getting through the first book. Annika was not a very likable character, she came off as really immature and lacking forethought, lacking any sense of considering consequences, and her wanting to become a vampire with no realistic thoughts towards what that would mean was very offputting. She had a vampire telling her her desire to become a vampire was ridiculousness, but she just flipped it off. Same with other supernatural being questioning her wanting to become a vampire. Then things proceeded to go a bit downhill in the second book. The Aladdin vibe was okay in concept, but events that occurred should’ve been left in the kid’s movie. Annika should have been way more prepared since she wanted to pretend to be a princess, she failed to pull from any life experiences, she was a gymnast near all her life, yet she could not pull from the experiences she would’ve had in being a competitor? She had access to omniscient looking glass, yet never used it to answer questions she shouldn’t been asking, not just relying on yet another witch showing her some things that she did not even stop the question. Ironic that in the very last book she tells Noah how he was not appropriate because of how he allowed himself to be manipulated from another putting thoughts in his head. Jacen was too complacent after thinking he lost Annika, would’ve liked to see a bit more out of him before he just said yes, bring the princesses. Some of the things he said were over-the-top, and unnecessary, and if there was better writing, another way could have been found instead of that being the catalyst to Annika’s following foolishness. After the second book, I just started skimming through, skipping, and then finally just decided to go to the end of the last book to see what happens in the end, because I couldn’t take it anymore. There were plot holes, plot issues, things that just did not make sense.

Wonderful characters. Great story. Great read. Fast pace. Twists and turns. A variety of possibilities. Riveting. Entertaining. Action-packed. Page turner. Easy to read.

The Vampire Wish: Heart shattering losses but strong characters and relationships.
The Vampire Prince: I find this story to be well written as a collection of stories, in the first person, from several different people. As the story shifts and turns, I found it difficult to predict what was coming next. To me, this is a sign of an excellent story written by a fabulous author.
The Vampire Trick: Annika is an absolutely fabulous character: smart, charming, beautiful, determined, and, at the same time, rather naive. For me, she makes the story come to life.

Nicole, Goodreads Reviewer, mentions that, "this story will consume your nights/days reading it" (from the Amazon page for this title). That reminds me of the movie, "Reuben, Reuben" in which the main character states, "I, for example, would like to read Fitzgerald’s ‘Tender Is the Night’ as slowly as possible. In fact, I would pay vast sums for anyone to teach me to read the books I love at a snail’s pace." A skill that I, unfortunately, have not obtained. I read the entire story in but a single day. I simply couldn't stop.

The Vampire Fate: Annika is a darling: now on a quest to find the infamous Holy Grail as a stepping stone to save the world. Absolutely delightful.
The Vampire War: Annika continues to be a strong, determined character with plenty of self doubt. But with Jacen by her side she focuses on finding solutions rather than fretting about her doubt.

I believe that it takes special storytelling skills to it pull off. Michelle Madow is one of those with the appropriate skills. I highly recommend it. I hope that you enjoy is as much as I did.

I was provided this book as an ARC by the author; however, the review is my honest opinion.

What a refreshing change to find a vampire, werewolves, witches and magic series that has such an original storyline in this flooded genre with so many stories that all have a familiar trait. The originality and imagination Michelle Madow has managed to transfer into the written word shows a great talent. Along with being able to feel all the emotions of the characters and I mean really feel as if they are your own, is a another definite skill.
All the books are well defined, so you always know where you are, you are also able to see the plots in your minds eye easily, without the descriptions interrupting the storyline. Each main character holds its own part, so you can see the background they have and how or why they fit in the story. I don’t like leaving spoilers as I believe you should enjoy these books on there own merit.. once you start this series, you won’t stop until the last word of book.5. As the cliffhangers are well thought out. You will also find that each book that follows seamlessly co to jest he story from one book to another. I definitely recommend people to read this series, it has nearly every conceivable situation somewhere in the books. You will find betrayal. Suspicion, lies, manipulation, mystery but running alongside an innocent love, friendship, support and loyalty plus many many more.
Mainly a great storyline

A Great Deal on an Amazing Series!

This is a well written, captivating, and exciting YA series that has enough details, action and plot twists to bewitch adults as well. As it is a Young Adult series, there is no sex, but gratefully, it doesn't contain teenage angst. Excellent characters with a great plot that involves secrets, betrayal, lies, spot-on gut instincts, and an amazing quest as a romance blossoms between Annika, a human blood slave, and Jacen, a vampire who was recently turned by the Vampire Queen, making him a Vampire Prince. Michelle’s writing style allows me to envision the Vale, the Vampire Palace, and other settings as if I were there in person.

Vampires, witches, wolf-shifters, fae, Nephilium, mages, angels, and human blood slaves… what more could you ask for in a series? Each book ends with a cliffhanger, so buying them in a box set (now that it is available) would be the only way to go for me! It was pure torture waiting for the next amazing book in this series to be released! Plus, you save money! If you enjoy paranormal romances, you’ll love this series! I highly recommend this series as well as Michelle’s other series, Elementals!

I don’t want it to ever be over!!!

What an exciting extensive paranormal ride!!!! I needed a break from romance so I did what I always do....found a paranormal series and this did not disappoint. This series has everything....all of the supernatural, a crazy story line, the impending end of the world, love, heartbreak, and kicka** characters that you grow to love! I cannot wait for the next installment and I’ll be super impatient until it comes out...and I’ll be first in line to read it! It’s hard in the big wide world of books to separate yourself as an author and to deliver a unique and mesmerizing storyline but this author brings it all to you. I loved that the chapters were from so many different points of view....it really makes for an in depth story line that wouldn’t have been possible with even just two POVs. Annika’s story is a true page turner and I devoured this whole series in just two days. There is so much more to be told with this story line and I AGAIN can’t wait for more more more of it. I need all the characters, I need all the stories...I just need it!!! Until the next part....

The book series was an interesting and different view on Vampires, Witches, Shifters and their abilities. I stress the word "series". There was no need to separate into 5 books. This is 1 book broken into 5 parts with each ending on a cliff hanger. There is also a lot of repetition in explaining how some of the magic works which takes up too much time. Not sure if done to stretch the length of the book. Or to better treat each book as its own. I think there should be 1 book created with out some of the repetitive parts and this world be a good 1st book and the same can be said about the Angel Trials and the Fairie Games ( I have not read yet, but expect more of the same).

Overall, I like the world that Michelle Madow has created. It was nice to see a mixture or supernatural creatures. I do plan to read the Fairie Games and hope she does build more of the Dark World. It be nice to see a story on the Witches of the world as well.

Supernatural retelling of Alladin

The series is loosely based on Alladin with a few exceptions. One, there's vampires. Two, there's shapeshifters like werewolves, weretigers, etc. Three, it also includes the Fae, Angels, and Demons. Four, witches, mages, and (obviously) humans. You're probably thinking what I thought, "great, another Alladin", but I can honestly say the story is not strictly Alladin and it touches on subjects such as elitism, prejudice, intollerance, classism, and racism. That being said, it does not harp on the subject, instead she uses it to make it easier to get into the story. In some ways it drove me to see how these things would be dealt with and would they be overcome. I had difficulty puttingdown the Kindle. That's just my take and perhaps I'm wrong, so read it for yourself. :-)

Michelle Madow’s The Vampire Wish series offers a spellbinding blend of magic, romance, and high-stakes adventure. Annika Pearce’s transformation from an ordinary girl to a central figure in the vampire kingdom of the Vale is thrilling and layered with intrigue.

The story is rich with unexpected twists, particularly Annika's discovery of Jacen's true identity as a vampire prince. Their romance adds emotional depth to the fast-paced narrative, and the secrets surrounding the Vale keep readers on edge.

While the series captivates with its imaginative world-building and romantic tension, the pacing can occasionally feel rushed. However, the overall experience remains engaging and addictive.

A must-read for fans of supernatural romance and dark fantasy, this complete series delivers a satisfying escape into a world of danger and desire.

Enjoyed just about every moment

I was tempted to give this 4 stars due to the fact that there were some inconsistencies in story telling and I felt like things were mentioned and never brought backup again, which is annoying. But overall I didn’t care too much and these things could easily be overlooked because from the first chapter right up until the very end, I. WAS HOOKED.
The series felt like a weird spin on the Disney classic Aladdin and I was here for every moment.
It really was an enjoyable read. But I’m once again struck with the idea that I can’t read individual Maddie books bc they all seem to end on a cliffhanger of some sort. Best to wait until a series is complete before getting sucked in.

Great story believable even

I made the mistake of reading the angel trials first. However instead of being disappointed I was glad I made this error,as this book had so many characters having there view,it became repetitive and boring in parts.I would never have read angel tried if I read this first.
I’m glad to say that Michelle has grown into a great author with a vivid and quite remarkable imagination that she put to pen. Will definitely be reading more of her work,as stated before it’s only three stars, because of the way each character goes through the same situation.Which at first was good as it was about joining the dots but by book three I was annoyed at it.

Supernatural lovers will enjoy this book!

Got this as a set and blazed through it. Those would have been 6 short books!
I recommend getting the set only. 6 separate books would have been too short with cliffhangers.
The characters were diverse and well formed. The story got its hooks in and didn't let up. I noticed the recaps at what would be the beginning of each book and since I read it as one book I found it annoying.
The places were described with rich detail without overdoing it. The pacing kept me racing through the pages to find out what was going to happen.
My first experience with this author and look forward to reading more.

Captivating!! YA Fantasy fans will get sucked in!

I really enjoyed Michelle’s Aladdinesque series, it took an old Disney favorite and put a fun fantasy spin on it! I enjoyed all the side stories woven throughout and switching back and forth between characters in the series. I’m moving on to Angel Trials now and can’t wait to see how the story continues with Noah! And I’m loving the fact they are long series’, but that they’re also different yet all connected too, so multi-faceted. Warm up you’re scrolling or tapping finger, you’ll devour this series once you are captivated by The Vale!

good story ending rushes

This has a great story that I really enjoyed reading up until the end. The end was a well thought out conclusion but it felt rushed . I felt like it all just unfolded to easily and was tied in a neat Bow, Like someone was rushing to just tell me how everything ended! The ending was was good just told fast and didn’t have the power it could have if it was told with the suspension of the rest of the previous series. Having said that I will continue to read The Angel Trials to find out the conclusion to Noah . Thanks to the author for a great beginning to The Dark World which I can’t wait to start!

Interesting

This puts an interesting twist on supernaturals. You have vampires and shifters of course, although there's more than just wolf shifters, wish that would have been explored more, but you also have angels and demons and so much more. People on the same side, not realizing it and hurting each other. When they finally get it right, things go way smoother. I would have liked it to be a longer series and I would have loved to know what happened to the new recruits before moving on to a whole new series with new story lines and characters. Still hoping to find out something about them in the new series. A must read for anyone who enjoys supernatural books
