Mark is the author of the popular O'Reilly books Programming Python, Python Pocket Reference, and Learning Python, all currently in 4th Editions. As of mid 2010, Mark has instructed some 250 Python training sessions, taught some 4,000 students, and written Python books which have sold roughly a quarter of a million copies and been translated to over a dozen languages.

Decomandată am să las deoparte această carte, deoarece conține chinuitor de multe detalii pentru nivelul meu actual de interes. În schimbul celor 800 de pagini rămase prefer să citesc o altă carte mai scurtă, dar și mai interactivă. Deși nu trebuia să mă aștept la altceva, căci autorul prevenise deja că această carte e echivalentul a unui semestru de predat, ceea ce presupune implicit câteva luni de investit în ea.
În ciuda faptului că e puțin depășită, fiind scrisă în 2013, cartea e destul de exhaustivă și clară, prezentând atât sintaxa 2x, cât și 3x a Python. Am învățat câteva baze importante, dar mă voi opri pentru moment în a mă scufunda mai departe. O recomand, însă studenților interesați sau programatorilor ce folosesc în mod cotidian Python.
