How is it possible each volume tops the next. I was screaming and literally LOLing this whole volume with a sprinkle of tears. The second half of this volume had me on edge that I was zipping through it.
Yamada character was showing some huge growth in this volume and I LOVE IT. This author really knows how to keep you on the edge and when you think you’re going to get the reaction or solve the problem in the next chapter, something else has brought up. This is my favourite volume that I’ve read so far. Although I suspect the volume going forward are going to be even better.
SCREAMING, CRYING, THROWING UP BECAUSE THEY ARE TOO CUTE
the last chapter <3 i love their supportive friendgroup and the way the confessions were handled. tsubaki deserves better, but i’m proud of her. yamada character development>> i’m so proud of akane as well.
What the fudge—I'm crying!!! This is so so, ugh, my heart is bursting and it fricken 3 am!! I can't with this feeling!! Anyway, Yamada is so wholesome—I CAN'T!!! Please tell me I can keep Yamada inside my pocket!
"Courage and motivation won't come around if you just wait for them. You need to take action first."
This is the volume that has THAT moment and IT. IS. EVERYTHING!!
I love Akane's transparency at that moment, but honestly, it's Yamada's smile! All I will say is: If you know, you know! (Best non-spoiler thing I can say! LOL!)
Rewinding though, I really really loved this volume! One thing I've missed in my previous reads of this series is the genuine thought that Akane has concerning whether she should voice her feelings to Yamada. She is really reaching out to Momo and Eita in hopes that she can "change" from her last relationship or jump into a new one quickly. This makes me feel a little bit of mixed feelings, but not in a bad way because I honestly think Akane is amazing and SO happy her friends tell her so! I don't think she needs to seek out and try and change her "bad" flaws, which is why I also feel a little sad that she wanted to try and change herself BEFORE wanting to potentially enter a new relationship. I totally get what she is trying to do and admire her for it, but please Akane, always be your amazing self! <3
The "arc" with Tsubaki was so overwhelmingly touching! I really felt the art shined in showing her feelings and how deep her love has been for Yamada. I've never once disliked her, but after this arc, there is definitely no way I could ever hate her! Definitely excited to see more of her, though this time not when she's crying, but button smashing! LOL!
One other thing I want to mention is that I have always really liked Eita's character, but I LOVED seeing how he was there for Akane! What might have started as playing an online game casually, really did lead to a very special friendship. I love it!
Another wonderful volume with SO many feels! I'm VERY eager for the next volume with that cliffhanger! The best is yet to come, that's for sure!
THE MANGAKA WAS SO INSANE FOR CH40. the “you caught me” and the “i’ll just come and tell you again until you definitely remember” and the hug. THE HUG. BRO YAMADA HAD SOME SERIOUS HIDDEN RIZZ
actualización: por si alguien está igual de perdida que yo con el asunto de los tomos T.T, estuve investigando por la red y, tachántachán, encontré que este tomo está compuesto por: - Chapter 31: I'm a Level 55 Paladin!! - Chapter 32: This is getting us nowhere!! - Chapter 33: Dreamier than group dates. - Chapter 34: I like you. - Chapter 35: That's not fair. - Chapter 36: Wanna share with me? - Chapter 37: You can trust me. - Chapter 38: Even if nobody else realize. - Chapter 39: We'll leave the rest to you, Yamada-san. - Chapter 40: When you wake up tomorrow morning.
estoy más muerta que viva con este tomo 💖 creo que moriré de diabetes por culpa de todo el manga y sus personajes 💖 Yamada es tan 🫶🏽🥰
My favorite entry in the series yet, with plenty of development of the characters and the romantic plot, and there's even a bit more gaming than usual. While the main characters have a satisfying storyline, the supporting cast also gets plenty of time to shine. One standout was Tsubaki, a character who hadn't come into the limelight much before but was involved in some quite touching moments here. One thing that was struck me about this series is the expressive artwork. This isn't a dialogue-heavy manga, and so a good deal of the emotional impact comes through in the drawings. That's true throughout the series, but the artistry especially stands out in some of the more intense moments of this volume.
There are so many things in this story that would normally drive me away, but something is holding me back and I just can't stop reading. The hold is only getting stronger from now on and I've read a bit ahead from this volume online. From here on this turns into one of my fave love stories in manga in general.
From now on I'm keeping myself to the books and not reading fan translations online, however painful it is to wait for the english books to catch up to where I was. Gahhhh
4.5/5 “I like you. I have feelings for you, Akane. Tomorrow morning, when you wake up, it’s fine if you have forgotten it. I’ll just come and tell you again, until you definitely remember. Good night.”
