About the author

Allen Downey is a Professor Emeritus at Olin College and the author of a series of freetextbooks related to software and data science, including Think Python, Think Bayes, and Think Complexity, which are also published by O’Reilly Media. His blog, Probably Overthinking It, features articles on Bayesian probability and statistics. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from U.C. Berkeley, and M.S. and B.S. degrees from MIT.

Ótimo livro para quem deseja aprender e aprofundar em python

É um excelente livro pra quem já programa em outras linguagens, ele vai direto ao ponto.

O ponto negativo é que por ser tão direto ele acaba pulando algumas questões que também são importantes. Mas pra começar, é um excelente livro.

considero um livro basilar para quem está introduzindo à linguagem python, a explicação e a evolução do aprendizado são muito bem conduzidas. o único ponto que faço ressalvas é que alguns exercícios práticos são bem complicados para o nível para que o livro se pretende, mas no geral, recomendo demais a leitura!
