About the author

Allen Downey is a Professor Emeritus at Olin College and the author of a series of freetextbooks related to software and data science, including Think Python, Think Bayes, and Think Complexity, which are also published by O’Reilly Media. His blog, Probably Overthinking It, features articles on Bayesian probability and statistics. He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from U.C. Berkeley, and M.S. and B.S. degrees from MIT.

Sorprendentemente bueno, necesitaba un repaso de las bases del lenguaje y este libro es directo para recordar conceptos básicos del lenguaje. Como libro introductorio a Python es genial; sin embargo, me hubiera gustado que se hubiera profundizado más en la naturaleza del lenguaje a bajo nivel a través del intérprete mismo de Python (soy ingeniero, así que me chifla saber que pasa por debajo :) ). Aún así, un libro que cubre todo lo básico para empezar, y da una buena base para trabajar bajo el paradigma OOP, llevaba sin trabajarlo desde que aprendí C++, y este libro te da lo necesario para afrontar este tipo de problemas con confianza.
