From her girl squad to the Swifties to the world at large, Taylor’s the BFF of the pop music world. As the go-to shoulder to cry on and chronicler of heartbreak, she relates her personal life and experiences in a ‘dear diary’ style in her music, but the artist is even more popular than her hit songs. One of the most followed on social media, she is a defender of the underdog, open about her feminist and pro-choice views and frequently speaks up against sexism and LGBTQ discrimination.
This collection of Taylor’s relatable, inspiring and hugely optimistic quotes and lyrics reveals a caring, generous personality who is all about ‘the feels’ and following your dreams. Sparkling with positivity and feel-good vibes, Taylor is always there to give you the best advice and lift you up when you’re down – she’s your own personal cheerleader.
Cute little book for the fans ♥️ Quotes were a little outdated (all pre-folklore era) but from various magazines, shows and albums, nicely parted in to a couple of themes. The lines were mostly her old views on life and I would love to see a more grown-up version of this book. Longer quotes/stories would also be interesting.
I was gifted this book by my boss who knows nothing about Taylor Swift except that I like her.
But somehow this was kind of the perfect Christmas gift?
It’s filled with uplifting, inspiring and feminist quotes from Taylor herself and I feel like I’ll be returning to these quotes in future when I’m in need of them.
This would be the perfect gift for a Swiftie, feminist or maybe just a young girl or woman in need of a pick me up every now and then
this was so nice and i love taylor swift. this is also the one that gracie abrams has whom i also love. i also love taylor swift. anyways i need to reread this and annotated it and write notes. and did i mention i love taylor swift.
anyways if you’re a swiftie go get this and also i love taylor swift😭😭🫶🏻
Was super excited when I found this little gem at a used book store! 🤯 Although it was published in 2023, the quotes that were used were from 2007 - 2017. I only saw a handful of quotes from 2019. I would love to see a volume 2 book with some new quotes from the folklore era and beyond. ❤️Although maybe that’s already in the works and the reason these quotes were older? 🤞🏻🙏
“There is a time for silence, and a time for waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel, and you so clearly know what you need to say, you’ll know it. I don’t think you should wait. I think you should speak now.”
What wouldn't I love about a book of quotes from one of my favorite artists? I'll tell you, nothing, except that she keeps giving great quotes that there needs to be a follow up book.
I honestly didn't know what to expect? Blondie has been off the charts for years and just NOW i'm hearing about this book? I felt as tho the plot could've been more driven to her acknowledgements, career, music, but also her family and friends (and of course the drama for those interested). But it was just basic information one could find with a google search of "taylor swift". Like yes, big swiftie here already knows her birthday and the iconic christmas tree farm... STIIIILL, the quotes were quite amazing and some that I have never heard before.
Conclusion: Taylor Swift is iconic no matter what and has inspired me to drive my life SOMEWHERE with no fear of what challenges I end up facing.
One of those perfect little coffee table books! This book is super simple and super easy (and super fast!) to read. It is just different quotes by Taylor Swift about various topics that were taken from her social media, tour speeches, interviews… It was such a nostalgia trip for a long time fan like me to go through these and I received as a gift so I would love to recommend this as a gift for any other Taylor Swift fans. I will keep this book on my bedside table for little boosts of motivation! The design and look of it are minimalistic and pretty and it really fits Taylor’s style.
I would hate it if someone compiled quotes from me almost exclusively from 2008-2015, published it, and then made them immortal. Not that's there's anything bad in this book, but it's pretty obvious from recent albums that some of these sentiments from when she was in her teens and early 20s do not match her feelings, opinions, and experiences now in her mid-30s. There are a couple quotes from 2020 and 2021 in this, which is nice, but most of these quotes are from a very young Taylor. All I'm saying is that Teen Me and even Early 20s Me had no idea about anything. Celebrities aren't going to be much different.
I received this book as a birthday gift since I’m a big Swiftie, so I was glad to read it! I love her and I loved the quotes in this book, some of them were of course really inspiring. The only thing I noticed was that a lot of the quotes were from 2012-2013, so I wish there were more recent quotes in it.
Taylor Swift has only increased in popularity. One can see that with her recent tour, Eros Tour, that's still going on.
This book is a combination of a biography with small facts about, and it has quotes or things she has stated in interviews, magazines, etc. This is a solid book to be honest with you.
Very good, but they could have put a lot more quotes by Taylor in this book. I feel like they are (once again) giving too much attention to Taylor's love life, when she's actually a poet, a feminist, an artist and much more.
I got this for Christmas so I thought it would be a nice quick read and it was. A lot of the quotes were from pre 1989 which I didn’t mind but it would’ve been nicer to have more recent quotes. Either way I enjoyed the book and it marks off my 44th book of the year and my reading challenge
Mostly containing older quotes so would personally prefer to hear about views from a more recent Taylor but a fun little read and I got this as a Christmas stocking gift so also a lovely present for a Swiftie or just a feminist in general.
