Terran Reset #4

Command Control

Rate this book
She wanted a life worth living, and in the arms of three guardians, it got a little out of control.

Maya worked hard jobs all her life, and a devastating explosion at sea turned her from a hard worker into a crispy critter. Bedridden and blind, she accepts the order from the Volunteer Project and gets herself reset into a body that can move and skin that isn’t black.

She did not think of anything aside from getting her body back under her control, so when she ends up at her assignment as a guardian communicator and tactician for three worlds, she does the job with good cheer until she got the first day off.

Having locals trying to seduce her was strange, but knowing that she had been reset with the genes to be one of their queens, she just tried to ignore it. An act of kindness puts her in the path of a guardian who coincidentally also has a day off, and her day in the sun warms up considerably from there.

The next day she meets his teammate, and the next teammate the day after that. The new genes come with new morals and less control.

A somewhat enjoyable short sci-fi romance.

I did not enjoy this installment in the Terran Reset series as much as I did the previous novella in the series. I felt like the heroine was being exploited and abused by her new home world and people, so I did not buy into the possibility of a true Happy Ever After for her in this society. Her consent was never given for the things they were doing to her body at any point, and they refused to educate her on her new biology, which left a nasty taste in my mouth.

My Favorite, So Far

For a short story it packed a delightful punch. Mayra was a strong character. This bee similar society was different and so much fun. Her role as Command Control came in handy for keeping her family safe. The big twist in the book was a surprise but once again the Terrain reset came through with pizazz. 15 Stars

Love this series

Once again Viola Grace has delivered a series of tales to amuse and enthrall. The universe expands with new species and planets with some familiar names and places.

Absolutely incredible

I can't express how great this one is. Maya and her family/court is perfect. I know the young queens are too numerous.... But maybe a couple of queen stories? Please?

Excellent book I love it when a person gets a chance at a happy life. That is essentially what the Terran Reset books are about. I don’t know if a reader would be able to just jump into Viola Grace’s worlds where Humans achieve amazing successes. I would suggest visiting her website to at least get your feet wet. Her writing just gets better with every book.

Command Control

I really enjoyed this story but it was a little confusing. I also didn't like how detached from the babies she was, it was kinda odd and stilted. Otherwise it was a good story. The world building continues to be fascinating. I would recommend this book and this series.

Who's The Boss?

This was a quirky story with a lot of twists and turns in the plot. A funny concept for Viola to put in front of us!

Not the best in the series. Still original, and managed to get me out of a reading slump.
