A Bleacke Wind

Rate this book
[MF, paranormal romance, wolf shifters, Alpha heroine, geek hero, IR with secondary characters]

Dewi Bleacke is the Targhee wolf pack’s Head Enforcer. As little sister to the pack’s Alpha, her older brothers have demanded she has a froufrou formal wedding. Dewi’s only consolation is that it’ll be a double ceremony, with Beck and Nami saying their vows, too.

As they prepare to head to the pack’s compound in Idaho, Enforcer Joaquin Carlomarles shows up at Dewi’s front door. Dewi had assigned him to Mexico to get him out of her and Beck’s fur, but now he has the head of a drug cartel on his tail, looking for revenge.

With orders to bring Joaquin to Idaho, Dewi and the others set off. Then an unexpected mating throws yet another monkey wrench into the plans. That’s when danger finds the Targhee pack, forcing Ken to extremes he never dreamed for survival. Keeping himself and Nami alive in the Idaho wilderness might even require help from an unexpected source, as answers to old tragedies are delivered on… A Bleacke Wind.

Great addition to the series, and it's definitely best to read after you have read the previous instalments.

So for this third book, we get to have a new couple, but spend also some time getting to know the rest of the pack. We get to know better a lot of the secondary characters of previous books. Bleacke Shifters' world gets an upgrade, its world, rules and own mythology becoming more extensive in A Bleacke Wind.

The story brings us to the main compound of the Targhee Pack, in Idaho, for the wedding we've been waiting for since the end of book one, which became a double wedding by the end of book 2.

Problem? Like in real life wedding there's just a few minor unexpected problems along the way, unlike a real life wedding, theirs include among other things a few cartel enforcers trying to crash the party.

Hard to review without spoilers, but there is a nice plot twist somewhere along the way, all the usual snark and slightly twisted humor that you love from the characters, and a really really adowwable little girl who steals the show.

I can honestly say I can't wait to read next instalment!

I loved this story. It was full of action, suspense, mystery, murder and mayhem.
The Targhee pack’s enforcer in Mexico, Joaquin Carlomarles, fulfilled a pack edict in front of an audience. It got him on a drug cartel hit list. He escaped from Mexico with his life and has come to Florida to get help fleeing from the cartel. Dewi and Beck’s marriages to their respective mates is going to be held in Idaho so they take Joaquin with them to help keep him in hiding for a while.
Dewi shows Ken her favorite place growing up. Ken learns more about Dewi as a child and why she is who she is. Nami, Beck’s mate is blown away by the acceptance of her and her siblings by Dewi’s family and pack. Another mating occurs in the pack and now there is a third wedding that must be planned.
The cartel manages to follow the team to Idaho. Nami and Ken end up spending a cold night in the mountains running from the cartel members.
Badger traces lineages for the new members and finds some interesting surprises. A family member thought long dead gets found.
I’m really looking forward to the fourth book in this series.

DNF 33% in. Never guess by the 33% but I did try really hard to get through it. Ended up stopping 4 times to read other books, not a good sign. The story went no where new, it was still the upcoming wedding, the fluffy, girly dress Dewi was being forced to wear, being teased about the dress, lots of filler about Dewi's brothers & their wives, blah, blah, blah. Even the start of the new relationship didn't bring any excitement. I'm really disappointed with this series, it started out SO great and just went down hill.

Another great adventure for shifters, as they find their mates. I liked the H, he's acted in good faith but his actions caused evil men to hunt the pack. I loved their thoughts on what was happening as the wolves hunted them down. I also liked the 1st H finding his inner strength. The focus was more on the h's sister from book 2. Not a favourite character, she's a mouthy drama queen who thinks she always right. Ugh.

I actually listened to the Audible version but that isn't a choice for format. This story is full of action and while it introduces us to a new mating it also helps us reconnect with the other pairs as they prepare for a wedding. I like the way this one focuses more on the perspective of the human mates. I also like the interesting foreshadowing for the next book. There are dark moments but also moments that bring out the humor in dealing with such strong personalities. There are also fun surprises.

I have to say that I absolutely LOVE this series and I am glad that I stumbled upon this series by accident.
I adore each of these characters and throughout the series you learn a little bit more about each and every one of them and also discover new ones as they come onto the scene.
This series captures one specific couple but you also see the stories of the other characters grow and learn the ins and outs of the new relationships.

I purchased A Bleacke Wind as part of the Bleacke Shifters Box set.I loved the tension and conflict in this book. This is such a fun series, and the author took it up a notch by adding an interesting plot to the great cast of characters. My favorite storyline of the series, so far. With a few interesting twists at the end.

Family

This is the third book in The Bleacke Shifters series but can be read as a standalone novel. The Bleacke Shifters of Florida head to Idaho for the weddings of Ken and Dewi, Beck and Nami to a surprise third wedding. With plenty of action, adventure, romance, and with a surprise thrown in, this novel is a delight! ENJOY!

Exciting Read

The most exciting of the Bleacke books yet. Dewi and Ken are thriving as a couple, and more pack members are falling for their mates. Add in a vicious cartel out for blood, Dewi in Prime Alpha mode, and you've got one good book!

Loved it!

Not your standard paranormals romance with the Alpha male and his sweet human woman. What if our hero was actually a Heroine and her mate was a Professor…who’s also a vegetarian….let the fun begin

Three weddings and a wood chipper.

New characters are introduced. Blood feuds are declared. Lots of angry wolves in the woods and some sexy times too.

3.5 stars - Really fun, plenty exciting, and nicely-paced read with more heat from wolfy mating, interesting pack history and Alpha duties explored, the nasty thrill of geek/mates-facing-danger, and the baddest-ass Alpha forced to face a little frou-frou.

This third installment ranges a bit in terms of focus. While there is a new pairing, eventually the core characters from the first two novels become the center - which overall I very much appreciated.

I really liked the plot threads that focused on the human mates (Ken and Nami). In paranormal romance/mating stories, I've always thought the ongoing character issues and adjustments of "every day folks" becoming a partner to a werewolf to be among the most potentially interesting but often rather under-explored (other than in than in the initial seduction and/or between the sheets).

One more comment - the "eye for a potential eye" justice-with-(justified)-prejudice found in the second book is back in the third, again carried out against enemies who were plenty vile. In this third installment it's a bit more "self-defense" than the "street justice" of the second, but still has a "make your enemies writhe in pain before they die" edge to it that not all will find appealing. Of course, fans of this as-tough-as-the-bad-guys-and-will-make-them-suffer approach might appreciate the direction of the series even more. :)

A BLEACKE WIND is the third book in the series. To get the most out of the story, I would recommend that you read the first two, Bleacke's Geek (Bleacke Shifters #1) by Lesli Richardson , Geek Chic (Bleacke Shifters, #2) by Lesli Richardson . I don't want to give anything away but all the previous characters are in this one, and it is a totally fantastic ride.
We got mystery, mayhem, family crisis all while trying to get ready for a wedding. Don't worry we have bad guys that pee their paints, wolves with a wood chipper, and a Prime Alpha in a froufrou wedding dress.

A Bleacke Wind

I loved this book. Dewi,Ken,Nami and Beck are going to have a double at the family home. Nami younger sister is Malyah is Joaquin's mate and who Beck has problems with. Joaquin killed a drug lords younger brother for hurting and killing one their own. The drug tracks him to Idaho to kill him. Lost member of the family is found, drug lord gets away, three weddings instead of two and finding two lost mates. There was so much love and problems occurring it was a very good reading experience. I hope their is another book in this series. Erin

The Geek Will Survive!

I enjoyed this tale with it's twists and turns. A surprise is how seamless our author has found the missing Duncan! I look forward to the next adventure and have my fingers crossed that Dewi is soon with child. Of course, the drug cartel needs to be dealt with too. Ms. Lesli, I am hooked!

mad dash of survival training

So much action and suspense. Tear-jerking and haw-dropping revelations from all angles. But, the frou-frou dress survived!

Fun to see the pack in action.
