Aims to alleviate software engineers' common concerns about software configuration management. Through the use of patterns, this book shows that a properly managed workflow can avert delays, morale problems, and cost overruns. The patterns approach illustrates how SCM can be successfully applied in small to mid-size organizations.
Didn't find anything new for myself there. There are some patterns which were new for me, which I haven't applied and didn't come up with, but looks like that's because these patterns are for the different kind of software than what I do.
This book is more useful if you have a large complicated software system and need to manage it. I think the kinds of development efforts that are big enough that need many of the patterns in this book are shrinking.
