The book was great to me as I was looking for something to learn the basics of CSS, with slow, step-by-step instructions. Of course I could have looked all that up in summary, too, there are great resources on the web, but some people learn better from books.

Yes, it is outdated, but if you look at the publishing date that shouldn't be a surprise. The 'everyone uses IE' irked me, too, but then back in 2005 not that many people were using google chrome, right? ;) As a basic resource to start building knowledge and confidence it was good.

First ever and the only CSS book I've ever read. That's because after this easy to read and follow book you'll never need another one to get the basics of CSS. The rest comes with practice + Google for errors and problems ...
