Being a celebrity makes people think they know who I am. Just because I can't leave my house without a camera in my face, doesn't mean you know me.
The sad part is that for so long, I thought of myself the same way everyone else does. Screaming to mosh pits, I personify Popper, lead singer of the band Chimera.
But I have a secret life. A life where I'm a hero, where people look up to me. When my fake celebrity world comes crashing down, and I'm left with not only my secret, but others as well, there is one man standing behind me.
The only thing is, he has the biggest secrets of all.
I am a full time mom of four, and stationed overseas with my sexy soldier. My current obsessions are Maroon 5, rum and coke, and reading in no particular order. Despite being terribly awkward with social media, I'm everywhere. Frequently subjecting the public to pictures of my minion's messes, and everything that is Momdom in my house.
Mystify to perplex, obscurity we have come across this powerful word a bunch of times in our lives but as we dwell deeper into the word and bring it into our everyday lives we can come to understand that as a relationship first comes into play we are all mystified upon what is being said, seen and felt. It is our senses that make a powerful yet suggestive word all the more electrifying.
Finnigan(Batty)-cute, hunky and mysterious
Sadie (Popper)-singer, sweet and pretty
Popper is a woman of the night she is the woman every man wants but she isn’t looking for any man she is not even really looking. She is the sexy woman to every mans fantasy and has the songs of Angels coming from within. Will one man be able to tame Popper into becoming the woman she really is deep within herself or will no one be able to complete her? Will she walk alone down a path that she has come to know or will another be by her side?
Batty is a man of mystery that is hot, cute and sexy. Knowing that he can have any woman with a smile in his eyes brighter than the northern lights he seems to have been on a track of loneliness but at the same time a fulfillment but as paths cross with another a challenge comes into play that only his heart can complete. Will Batty be able to let his heart lead the way or will he just brush it off and go on his continued path?
Batty and Poppers journey is a hot and sexy one. They both are a mystery to each but as the mystery of doors open and they begin to see that the mystery that lies between them is not such a mystery at all or is it? Batty knows that Popper is in a band he knows that their sex together is more than orgasmic but he also knows that a secret that lies within him may dictate their future together if the secret comes out before such time. Will Popper and Batty have a forever together or will it end before it really has a chance to flourish? Will both be able to completely open up to all the mysteries that lie within each to take the path together?
To the author: You have enlightened me, floored me and made me scream at times but all in a good way. You have shown that just because you think that you know everything about one that a true mystery can still lie within. You left me totally speechless at times. Surely the ending will have your readers as well as this reviewer wanting more. Kudos
This is the second book in the series and, like the other two, the author did a great job with this one.
This is the story of Sadie and Finn. You mainly know Finn as “Batty” because that is the nickname Sadie gave him from the moment they met.
The story draws you in right away and I was glued to my kindle until the end. I needed to know what was going to happen between these two. The chemistry and sexual tension between Sadie and Finn was intense. Both Sadie and Fin had their secrets from their past. While reading this book I was patiently waiting for them to open up and confess what was going on inside their heads.
“Sadie, this is the real world. You can’t live in a bubble and only deal with what you want.”
Sadie put up this tough girl persona but underneath she was a sweet girl that really cared about others. I loved how she took the time to give each of the children in the cancer ward a special moment and fulfilled a wish for them. Sadie was young when she became famous. She was the lead singer of the band Chimera. Her fame allowed her to live a life of luxury but, with youth comes being naïve and Sadie was exactly that. Sadie winds up losing all her millions and had to make a decision if she wanted to accept the job opportunity that Finn offered her.
“I’m serious. I haven’t decided if I’m kicking you in the balls yet or not.”
Finn was dominating in the bedroom but caring and really tried to break through the walls that Sadie put up to protect herself. Let me just say that I did not see the plot twist that the author threw at me regarding Batty.
“I told you I would give you what you want. Now come for me.”
The book flowed and the character development was perfect. My only complaint was that I felt there were to many sex scenes written and after a while I found myself starting to skim through them. Loved the plot and can not wait for the next one since this one ended in a cliffhanger.
“I mumble as my heart shatters, realizing that everything I thought I knew is a lie.”
I read the prequel to this story, Finding Sadie, when it was first released in the Mistletoe & Kisses Anthology. I absolutely fell in love with both Popper and Batty. Theirs is a strong and intense chemistry and I'm glad we get to see more of them together.
Sadie is the leader singer of a male grunge metal band that is managed by her slimy brother and sister. Popper is her stage name, however that side of her is nothing like the real Sadie. The real Sadie is the one who volunteers every Sunday at the hospital and spends time with the children who have cancer. She started the visits on the advice of her therapist and ran into a man dressed as Batman when she got there. She quickly left and bought a Robin outfit and she and Batty have been visiting the kids together every Sunday since. What they also do every Sunday is go back to Sadie's house for explosive sex. Batty is mysterious and hot!
For months, Sadie has been avoiding her record company boss for fear of either being fired or forced to have throat surgery. When she finally does go, she's shocked to discover the new CEO Finnick Brennick is none other than her Sunday Batty. He informs her that her brother and sister have stolen money from her since she was fifteen and she is nearly bankrupt. He offers to pay her to be a celebrity judge on a music reality television show. With no other choice, she agrees and they continue their Sunday visits to the hospital and afterwards. Everything seems fine, until Sadie discovers Finn's secret. A big secret! I can't wait for the next book, Finding Finn. I noticed it's currently available on Amazon for those of you like me who like to pre-order books so you don't forget.
The majority of this story is told from Sadie's POV, but a few paragraphs come from Finn. You can tell he really cares about Sadie, but is scared of those feelings. Now that we know Finn's secret, I'm really curious as to what's going to happen and what else we will learn.
FORGETTING POPPER continues Sadie's journey of self-discovery. You will find betrayal, surprises, and the importance of volunteering.
Sadie is brought down to her lowest by the people who should have protected her, but she doesn't give up. She fights that betrayal and continues to discover that, "Sadie is beautiful...need makeup to make her brave...doesn't need anything but a smile and a laugh"---because it's that smile and laugh that brings joy to the children she sees every week. She sheds her Popper persona and begins to shine as Sadie.
You will get more steaminess from Batty and Sadie AND you discover Batty's identity. The sex scene are HOT---"If you want to come, fucking tell me. I'm right fucking here, and I'm ten times better than anything else you'll ever get." -Batty
Continue on this journey, you will not regret it!!

Popper has been living the high life of being the lead singer of the band Chimera but once the weekend hits, she flies back home and becomes the only person she truly is - Sadie . During the weekends, she stops by without a doubt at the hospital - Children's cancer ward and puts on the face of Robin to Batty aka Batman. It is the only place, where she can be her true self and no-one is wanting Popper the musician and slut. One weekend though, her life is about to change drastically , after running late to the airport - she catches a ride with one of the band members who tries to rape her and she wakes up the next morning in hospital filled with bruises and injuries. This is the last resort , she decides that she can't go back to being Popper as if she does it will send her into an early grave. Her music producer sends her a message to met him, she reluctantly turns up only to be bombarded by surprises that will leave her speechless but angry. Her siblings have robbed her blind and she is broke and the guy who is the CEO of the Music Company Finn is none other than her co-conspirator and friend Batman aka Batty. With not many options in life presenting themselves, Sadie finds herself in a dire situation. Will she take Batty up on his job as a music reality TV judge ? What will happen though when she goes back to see her parents after all these years , can she make it right by them ? Also in Forgetting Popper, there is quite a few sex scenes as Batty and Sadie go for it - all over the place.
So if you are looking for a Self-Discovery Journey with Sex Scenes and Raunchy and Hot Romance then "Forgetting Popper" is the book for you.
Mosh pits tend to get out of hand. Popper always leaves on Saturdays, but Brian wants her to ride on the bus with the rest of the band to talk to reporters. Maury drugged her, to get her to sleep with him, she lays shivering in the snow. She woke up in the hospital, she leaves the hospital to make it to the children's cancer ward, she never has missed a day. Thee people in the elevator avoided eye contact. When she got to the children's cancer ward, Alyse tells her that she can't go in there like that. She is all battered and bruised. Alyse calls Batty and tells him, he sees her and tells Alyse to tell the kids that they had a mission. The next morning Sadie gets a call saying that Mr. Brennick wants to see her. Who is Mr. Brennick. Popper is Sadie, she learned how to fight when she joined the band. She is the lead singer of Chimera. She quits the band. Brian is the band manager and he is Popper's brother. Tammy is the band's publicist and she is Popper's sister. Maury is the drummer in the band, he is the oldest person in the band. Batty is a very nice person, he doesn't like the feelings that he has for Sadie. Alyse is the receptionist at the children's hospital. This book was really well written and I couldn't put this book down. I loved how well the characters were developed, I also loved the story line. Brandace you are an amazing author. I highly recommend this book.
After meeting Sadie and ‘Batman’ in Finding Sadie, I couldn’t wait to see what Brandace Morrow was going to have in store for us through the continued journey of self-discovery for Sadie.
Well I can say without a doubt I have fallen in love with Sadie & Finn and Batman & Robin. <3 And I wasn’t prepared for all the surprises that are discovered throughout the book.
It is a love story, but it is also so much more. We get to see two people come together and grow as a team, a couple and individuals. It is an amazing journey that I am so glad I started reading. The Los Rancheros Series is amazing and the addition of Sadie is just icing on the cake.
In this book we get to see Sadie’s life begin to change as she evolves as an individual. She has quite a few HUGE discovers that have an impact on her current life and her future. Being able to see the transformation of her becoming her own person without Popper and the Band is truly eye-opening and moving. This book is heart-warming and touching on so many levels.
Without giving any of the story away, I have to say, WHAT AN ENDING!!!!! I can’t wait to see what is in store for us in Finally Finn, the next book in the Los Rancheros Series.
Finding Sadie was amazing but Forgetting Popper was even better! I LOVED this book so much.
Popper is the lead singer of the grunge band Chimera. She has a tough exterior and it's not uncommon to see her throwing water bottles at peoples heads when she gets mad. On the inside, she's a mess. The final straw is when she gets drugged, almost raped, and is left in the snow by a band member. She quits the band but then finds out her siblings have embezzled all of her money and she's broke. If that's not enough, she finds out that she is involved with the CEO of the record company, whom she knows as Batty from volunteering at the Pediatric Cancer Ward once a week. It's enough to break a person but Popper decides she has to reinvent herself and starts to bring back Sadie.
Forgetting Popper is a smoking HOT journey of self discovery. I loved how Brandace Morrow didn't make Popper perfect overnight. Instead, Popper moved towards getting back to Sadie, little by little. Waiting for the next book is pure torture because I CANNOT WAIT for more of Sadie's story.
Holy sizzling pages Batty!!! The chemistry between Sadie/Popper and Batty/Fin truly comes alive off the pages with this couple. I truly love them both and I can’t get enough!A lot is uncovered in Finding Popper, that lead to a couple of shockers that I didn’t see coming…love that in a book. The lines that both Sadie and Batty have drawn slowly become blurred, and feelings start to form.
Can Sadie trust someone she really knows nothing about?
Will the mysterious man that is Batty finally let Sadie see what he is hiding behind his cape?
I can’t say enough how much I love the way Brandace writes! Everything always flows so well, and always grabs me from page one until I have devoured the while thing. I so can’t wait for the concluding Novella, Finally Fin. ❤️
Ah Popper and Batty! What can I say?! I just love them! Popper is the lead singer in an all male rock band. She is also Robin to the kids at a cancer hospital and to Batty (Batman). The children's hospital has been really good therapy for Popper and helps her to find her true self as Sadie. After a series of devastating events, Popper is left to wonder how to pick up the pieces. And what if Batty is someone she never expected to him to be! Where does that leave her?
Popper is really a strong person and is determined to not break but build herself up again. She wants to find out who the real Sadie is. And Batty....swoon!
I can't wait for the next book, especially after that ending Brandace Morrow left us with!
Received an ARC from Book Enthusiast Promotions in exchange for an honest review. Full, original post for FINDING SADIE and FORGETTING POPPER can be found at: http://mnonmklreviews.blogspot.com/20...
This was wonderful and a great follow up to finding Sadie. Sadie is now starting to see a new chapter in her life. She has been faced with some harsh reality and is facing it with strength and support from Batty. She now knows who Batty is and they are getting to know one another as who they really are. She is leaving the persona Popper behind and finding herself and who she really is. Along the way she is finding out who Batty is as well. Batty or Finnigan is one who cares for her and holds back. At first I don’t get why but as we see more of him revealed and especially at the end you understand. He is a great guy and good for Sadie. How he helps her and finds a way for her to support herself while finding her new self is great. These two have some amazing chemistry and it jumps off the page. More important is he sees Sadie for who she is on the inside and that is who he cares for. A wonderful quick read about finding yourself and someone who cares and supports you. I hope that after Sadie has found out more about Finnigan they become closer and become more. They are perfect together and I look forward to the next installment of this fun sizzling romance and Sadie continues to find strength in herself and see who she really is and finnigan begins to open himself up for romance.
Brandace is new to me, but I am loving her style. This story takes places over three books. But that just gives you more to read. You will love them. I love the descriptions and personalities of the characters and places. I want more from Los Rancheros. I would love to live at the farmer’s market.
In this book we learn so much about popper and Sadie as she transforms herself to someone she can love and respect.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
I received this for an honest review. This is a continuation of the first books and a very enjoyable read. In this one you really get to see who Sadie/popper is and who her true self is. This is one series you just do not want to miss.. In this you learn more of who Batty is and more about thier relationship. This series is a definite must read!!!
I love all Brandace Morrow’s books so far and this was no exception. You can’t help but fall in love with Popper. This is definitely one which is suitable for anyone and everyone. Her writing is addictive and she is one of the few authors that I actually pre order to make sure I don’t miss a release!!
I first met Popper/ Sadie in Finding Sadie. I loved the "secret" life her and Batty shared. Now I get the whole story of Sadie and how she will leave Popper behind and grow up. I loved it!!! We find a out little more about Batty but not nearly enough! Can't wait to read the next one
