I really liked the tips I read in this book about how to teach children programming in an innovative and unique way that they will surely absorb it as well as have fun learning it. It also contains a cartoon animation that will surely capture the attention of children. It will just be like playing for them but at the same time learning different skill along the way, especially programming. Some of the ideas in this book have never crossed my mind. I am excited to show my kids this so they can try it out for themselves. I really like this book and recommend it to all kids 10 and up.

This is definitely a must have book for middle graders, or a bit younger kids with mathematical skills and basic knowledge of how to use a computer. That said I don't see why older kids and even adults interesting creating own games and cartoons wouldn't enjoy this book. I did and I'm certainly not a kid anymore.

As a pre-school teacher I found this book fun, and interesting. Very easy to follow with detailed instructions, so kids can either use it alone or with an adult. This would be an excellent tool to use in schools or with the talented kids in pre-school or even as an extra home work, something to work with when you've finished your job and just waiting for the other students to catch up with you. I'm sure both boys and girls would love this and have so much fun while creating their own characters and letting their imagination fly!

The author preferred target audience is kids, but as a former software instructor I found this book not only informative and fun, but very educational as well. It was very easy to follow with detailed instructions, so kids can either use it alone or with an adult. It’s interesting to note, the possibilities of uses for this book are endless. It can be used in schools, at home or to work with to expand and/or develop knowledge and take it to the next level. Imaginative kids will have a fun time testing their abilities with this book. Great work!

I wish this book had existed when I was a kid. Created by Mitchel Resnick, and the “Lifelong Kindergarten” group in the MIT Media Lab, Scratch claims to be a self-study program that makes learning abut computers and programming fun for children.

I have no children, but if I did, I'd get them this handy guide to survival in the years ahead, complete with cartoon animation.

Unusual and possibly important book.

Great Fun!

Although the intended audience for this guide is middle grade, I think anyone interested in creating online games and cartoons would find this to be helpful.

You and your children can experience hours of fun experimenting and designing. Computer programming for kids can be a great learning experience using this book.

I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest review.

Pretty decent.

The only problem is it doesn't include anything about the More Blocks section. But it was still a good book.
