As always this series is a great fun read with many interesting parts to it it expands all the points of the story looking forward to reading more soon. The characters are great as always I loved Scarlett the most she is super funny and I love her antics so much. I also loved her growing relationship with Charlemagne she now accepts she has feelings for him she is still oblivious of his though this causes many misunderstandings. There are so many great other characters that add so much to the story it was a great read looking forward to reading more soon. The plot was interesting it picks up right where it left off with more being found about the terrible Duke as well as more about Charlemagne and Scarlett and their feelings for each other that the other is oblivious of the story was really interesting looking forward to reading more soon.

Hated the arc about them transmigrating into the book so I was happy that it was over but the fact that they keep referencing scenes that happened there that we didn’t read about really annoyed me. Otherwise this volume would have been ⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Today's post is on Ten Ways to Get Dumped by a Tyrant: Volume III by Gwijo Seo. It is 392 pages long and is published by Editio Publishing. The cover has Isar on it. As it is the third volume in the series, you need to have read the first two volumes to understand the story. The intended reader is someone who likes young adult, humorous stories. There is no foul language, no sex, and mild action violence in this series. The story is told in multiple ways from first person with Scarlet then jumping to third person for the other characters. There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the book- Can she trust him with her heart? Scarlett knows that Charlemagne is a tyrant with a cruel and unpredictable streak, but now she also knows his tender and passionate side. As she rises to the helm of House Arman, enemies surface that wish to destroy her and everything she holds dear. Now, Scarlett must use her wit and courage to outsmart them and protect her people. But when she learns a shocking secret about Charlemagne’s past, she comes to a will she stay or will she go? Find out in the thrilling third installment of Ten Ways to Get Dumped by a Tyrant.

Review- This volume wraps up the second novel storyline and returns our characters to their world. I was a little lost at the start of this novel but I just pushed through that starting confusion and enjoyed the rest of the story. We have finally really met the villain and she is not doing too well with all the changes that Scarlet has made. Charlemagne is not falling for her seduction magic and the fairies are not on her side so their magic is not helping her. The villains adds some interest at the end of the novel as she is an unknown and what her true goals are. I'm looking forward to the last volume and seeing how everything is going to wrap up.

I give this volume a Four out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I borrowed this novel from my local library.

I couldn't stop laughing

I do feel like there was a chunk of the book missing between book two and book 3. I actually went back and looked at book two to make sure I hadn't forgotten something only to realize there really are missing chapters of information. Once I got over that, I just moved on with the story like it didn't matter. And I guess it really didn't matter... And there's a lot of hand waving over those missing months worth of time in the book. I think the author might have been just bored with that arc. The stuff she did get to is quite great though. I couldn't stop laughing, the characters are delightful. I do hate the sudden ending cliffhanger though. It almost feels like it ended mid-sentence. I almost feel like recommending waiting for book four before you start reading this one... But then again it was really good and if people all wait for book four book for might never come out right?

It’s Decent

Honestly I would have loved it if they actually went through the arc of them being stuck inside the book. But it apparently didn’t made the cut and died a sad death.

Yet they always reference the book they transmigrated and did things that us reader don’t know about. And how the ML builds his relationship with Scarlet inside the book that we still don’t know about 😠

It’s tasteless.

Besides that, we finally see Scarlett realize she has romantic feelings for the ML and how she dealt the baron. OG female lead finally makes an appearance. And we see our main characters flirting.

In short, it’s still an interesting tale but we no longer get the comedic tone as we did in the first volume. Author skipping a whole arc that showed character development as well a new character (the cleric) that was with them in the arc she skip 🤦🏽‍♀️

Welp until the next volume, I guess

It was really funny.

I liked that the plot where they were inside the book didn't last long.

I love it whenever the characters are jealous. Scarlett and Charlemagne are both badasses in their own right and are totally crazy for each other.

I can't wait to read the next (and I believe the last) book. There were many parts when I had to put it down because I was laughing or getting secondhand embarrassment.

This is just something important to note. I know this is translated from a Korean novel, but sometimes, the translation doesn't fit the American audience. Some phrases or scenes are awkward or not described very well. It could be hard to follow and hard to imagine. I don't know if that is how it was originally written in Korean and if it works in Korea, but the majority of things I read are written originally in English, so it is weird and feels off.

Again, I love this series. I'm having so much fun with it.

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant!! I am in love/obsessed with this series. It is funny, loving, adventurous, crazy, and our MC's are brilliant. They are finally on the same page, yet have misunderstood each other which is driving the secondary characters to go crazy. I am so happy how they wrote in the OG FL and how true love breaks spells. Some truths will come to light and we get more scenes of the fairies which I absolutely love.

declining in quality

First book I loved, and second book I enjoyed. At this point, the plot feels very rushed. The pacing is extremely inconsistent, and the prolonging of romantic tension is absolutely absurd at this point and maintained only by a thread. Will definitely continue to the fourth book, but this one is a mess.

sloppy way to end book 2 and begin book 3. author completely forgoes writing about the time the protagonist spent in the cursed novel, yet continuously references it. very lazy. either expand on the experience of the protagonist through the year in the cursed novel or don’t include it as a plot point.

Slightly less chaotic than the previous volume but still feels like some stuff is lost in translation.
