-‘Practical Magic’ μία αγαπημένη ταινία που έχω δει άπειρες φορές τα τελευταία δέκα χρόνια (και βάλε) και ντρέπομαι που το λέω, αλλά δεν γνώριζα ότι ήταν βιβλίο μέχρι πριν ένα χρόνο περίπου!! Κάπως έτσι το ‘Practical Magic’ της Alice Hoffman μπήκε στη λίστα των βιβλίων που έπρεπε οπωσδήποτε να διαβάσω!
- Έτσι λοιπόν αφού διάβασα και το βιβλίο συνειδητοποίησα ότι μιλάμε για δύο εντελώς διαφορετικές εκδοχές της ιστορίας των γυναικών της οικογένειας Owens και συγκεκριμένα των δύο αδερφών Sally και Gillian. Δεν θα έλεγα ότι δεν μου άρεσε το βιβλίο (το οποίο αγάπησα!) απλά ότι προτίμησα την εκδοχή της ταινίας. Και στις δύο περιπτώσεις η ιστορία είναι ενδιαφέρουσα.
- Είναι ένα πολύ ατμοσφαιρικό βιβλίο, γεμάτο μυρωδιές, εικόνες και συναισθήματα. Αν και η γραφή μπορεί να κουράζει λίγο, γιατί το βιβλίο δεν χωρίζεται σε κεφάλαια αλλά σε τέσσερα κομμάτια και η εναλλαγή στην οπτική της αφήγησης μπορεί να μπερδέψει λίγο, δεν μπορώ να πω ότι με έκανε να δυσανασχετήσω ιδιαίτερα και να μην ευχαριστηθώ την ανάγνωση αυτού του βιβλίου!
- Η Alice Hoffman μπαίνει σίγουρα πλέον στους συγγραφείς που θα ήθελα να διαβάσω περισσότερο.
