She loves history, having studied archaeology in college, and has traveled extensively, living for almost three years in Denmark, which feels like home to her. Cada vegada que començo un llibre de la Pamela Clare sé que és una història apassionant, amb uns detalls cuidats fins al milímetre, uns personatges completament desenvolupats. Reconec que la novela històrica m'ha decepcionat moltes vegades i en llegeixo poca, però hi ha ocasions en què et sorprèn. En aquest cas m'ha sorprès molt positivament com ha creat el personatge de l'Annie, una dona del s. XVIII, que és valenta i decidida, però també molt real d'acord amb el seu temps i la seva posició. Veiem que no és perfecta i crec que per això es fa estimar encara una mica més.
