En 1984 obtuvo el premio Hans Christian Andersen, considerado el premio Nobel de la literatura infantil, por su obra representada en mas de sesenta libros para ninos y jovenes. De la misma autora, Torre de Papel ha publicado otros titulos sobre el mismo personaje.

About the author

Christine Nöstlinger was an Austrian writer best known for children's books.

By her own admission, Nöstlinger was a wild and angry child. After finishing high school, she wanted to become an artist, and studied graphic arts at the Academy of Applied Arts in Vienna. She worked as a graphic artist for a few years, before marrying a journalist, Ernst Nöstlinger, with whom she had two daughters.

The majority of Nöstlinger's production is literature for children and for young people, and she also writes for television, radio and newspapers. She centres on the needs of children in her work, with an anti-authoritarian bent. She does not shy away from tackling difficult subjects like racism, discrimination and self-isolation.

Her first book was Die feuerrote Friederike, published in 1970, which she illustrated herself. The book was published in English in 1975 as Fiery Frederica.

ENGLISH: Franz's older brother falls hopelessly in love and Franz tries to help him. Later Franz suffers from jealousy and falls in love with another girl, but the girl turns out to be a big disappointment.

ESPAÑOL: El hermano mayor de Franz se enamora sin esperanza y Franz trata de ayudarle. Después es Franz el que sufre por celos y se enamora de otra chica, pero ella le sale rana.

Las historias de Christine Nöstlinger fueron de las primeras que leí en la infancia y se volvió de mis favoritas porque me sentí respaldada por ella, pues no banalizaba el enamoramiento de las infancias. En estos episodios de la vida de Franz, el niño experimenta ese dulce y agrio sentimiento de sentirse interesado por alguien. Es, por decir lo menos, adorable.

¡QUÉ HERMOSAS HISTORIAS! No dejo de pensar en mi infancia cuando me enamoré de Fernando. No dejo de pensar en esa sensación de bienestar y miedo cuando salía al descanso.

Franz la hace de cupido, de buen amigo y se enamora de Elsa.
Ver la mirada de un niño y que cuente su mundo es maravilloso.
Los temas más sencillos son los más difíciles de escribir y hablar de cómo nos sentimos hace que veamos nuestro reflejo en los problemas amorosos de Franz.

Un libro simple, pero muy bonito.
Lo leí cuando tenía entre 7 u 8 y me gustó mucho. Tenía ganas de releerlo aproximadamente 20 años después, me arriesgué a que no me gustara, pero fue todo lo contrario, lo amé como a mis 7 años. Un libro que muestra la inocencia del amor a temprana edad, una linda forma de enseñarle a los más pequeños esta emoción y otras lecciones más 🥰

Sehr süß! In diesem Franz-Buch dreht sich alles um die Liebe. Erst hat es Franz großen Bruder Josef erwischt, dann seine Freundin Gabi. Und letztendlich "knallt" es auch beim Franz.

Franz ist acht Jahre alt und hat seine ganz eigene Sicht der Dinge. Ich fand die kleinen Episoden rund um das Thema "Liebe" sehr niedlich und herzerwärmend.

This german-written book is very short. It didn't take me long to finish reading, since it's easy to read and understand.(and since I'm one of those people who enjoy the pain of consulting an online dictionary while SUFFERING myself through books written with lots of words I don't recognise.) It is a good start for those who have just begun learning "German" and want to immerse themselves in German books.
