Time Line Therapy and the Basis of Personality

Rate this book
Superb condition, lightly age worn only. Tad James utilizes NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) to eliminate irritating behaviors or issues. The Time Line theory is that you go back to the first time you remember a particular problem, do change work, and if necessary go to subsequent times when your behavior or response, was a problem and then do additional change work to resolve it. A good addition to any therapist's library or to anyone interested in behavioral change. (phi)

I enjoyed the book! I think it’s worth looking through as a reference.

I find myself going back and re-reading the transcripts that are included often.

Time line therapy seems to be an off shoot or sub-branch of NLP if there is such a thing. There is an introduction to NLP which I found satisfying enough. Many of the chapters however seem to just documenting lectures given by Richard Badler (one of the founders of NLP). The book is a mish-mash of NLP techniques. The whole premise of time line therapy did not grab me at all. Not a book for me I am afraid, but for fans of NLP it might add some new insights or techniques.

Good content but a little loose in terms of organisation and structure
