About the author

Kir Bulychev was a pen name of Igor Vsevolodovich Mozheiko, a Soviet Russian science fiction writer, critic, translator and historian of Lithuanian ancestry. His magnum opus is a children's science fiction series Alisa Selezneva, although most of his books are adult-oriented. His books were adapted for film, TV, and animation over 20 times – more than any other Russian science fiction author – and Bulychev himself wrote scripts for early adaptations.
He began to write SF in 1965. He has translated numerous American SF stories into Russian.
Winner of the ESFS Awards in 1984 as the "Best Short Story Writer".
Winner of the Aelita award in 1997.

Parts of this book are different. The fist part is childish with a lot of small adventures. The second one is a parody of establishment, advertising production and stories of king Arthur. The third one is classical Bulychev's story with beautiful nature, and brave people who protect it. The fourth part is an adventure in space with pirates.
I like this stories. They are full of Bulychev's humour and uncouraging. They isn't like previous serious "Лиловый шар" and "Сто лет тому вперед".
In my book "Сто лет тому вперед" was before "Миллион приключений". It's very strange. Alisa is younger in last then in fist. And we can learn a lot about Крыс in last.

В детстве именно эту часть я обожала - потому что куча всего разного происходит, и целая планета котиков - как тут устоять.
Вообще, Булычёв удивительно современен в вопросе гендерного равенства - и Алиса у него не рада изображать принцессу, и феминитивы встречаются регулярно.
