About the author

Rockne S. O'Bannon is a television producer and writer. He is the creator of the science fiction movie Alien Nation, television shows seaQuest DSV, The Triangle and Farscape. He is married with one daughter and two sons - all three children adopted from Russia. He resides in California, USA.[citation needed]

O'Bannon grew up in a home influenced by the film industry. The son of a gaffer, he was surrounded by film from his birth. His father worked on various films through Warner Bros. golden age, and his mother was a professional dancer who performed with Fred Astaire.

And back up we go. As opposed to volume two, this story kicked ass everywhere it went. Unrealized realities were always one of the best parts of the Farscape mythos; there was some actual creativity clearly thought through here in terms of storytelling and character development; and the art did a surprising turn around -- finally we have detail and shading and some semblance of uniqueness. While the storyline still resolved itself a bit quickly (it really could have been a two or three part TV episode arc with the amount of stuff they could have done), this was a far cry better than volume two, and we're now starting to see some payoff with the Deke storyline! Well timed.

I have really enjoyed the continuation of the Farscape series in graphic novel form. The crew of Moya has started to go their separate ways and Aeryn and John are raising their son.

We find out that Deke has some sort of gland that causes him to make things tremor. During a tremor, John is sucked into an alternate universe...one where he never met Aeryn. I love "what if" stories, so it was great to see how the universe changed because of one missed encounter. John desperately searches for his lost love.

During a visit to Hyneria, John ends up in an unrealized reality where Zhaan and D'Argo are still alive, John is happily married to Princess Katralla - and Aeryn is still a Peacekeeper whom the crew of Moya has never met. Nicely done alternate reality story, a great read.

Again, this is a review of the eComic version accessed via my library's website.

After not getting any answers from the Diagnosan, John and Aeryn take their son to Hyneria so that Rygel's doctor can examine him and try and work out what the frell is going on with the growth on his spine. As the doctor assesses him however, Deke has a major Time Stutter - which throws John into an Unrealised Reality. If you saw series 4 of the TV show, then you'll know all about these - but how does John get himself out of it? And is there anything in this reality that could help him in the real world (assuming he gets back to it).

I really enjoyed this volume, especially for the way it links up with previous storylines from the series. I can't say too much because spoilers, but it felt like a real treat for long-time fans. I look foward to reading vol. 4.

Wonderful story I just wish the story was continued to a better conclusion. The end was very abrupt, understandably but it leaves a yearning for more.

Its definitely a different take and I would love to see how Alt John and Alt Aeryn would eventually end up together despite all that stands in their path ((Princess Katralla and Katranna, Aeryn's stubborness (lol), Aeryn's son and the fact that the Peace Keepers want him desperately) because they definitely will end up together now that Alt John has finally met Alt Aeryn but the journey will sure be interesting, painful perhaps but hey its Frascape.
Also wanna see Scorpy as a good guy lol

Now this comic has felt like a truly Farscape story. The unrealized realities were a concept in the show that I felt should have been visited more, and this line does just that.

I loved seeing Zhaan and D'Argo again. And incorporating the Princess Katralla storyline in the context of John figuring out life as a family man is perfect.

Despite largely taking place in an alternate reality, the plot moves forward in an interesting way. And that gave me the maximum Farscape vibes.

2.5 stars. Unrealised realities are Farscape canon, but this time it just didn't do much for me. I liked it by the end, but mostly I was bored by the whole "nobody understanding what John is talking about" shtick. The artwork was pretty poor again too.

Story and dialogue were *chef's kiss*, definitely worth a read for fans of the show.

Despite some clever layout and frames, I'm not the biggest fan of the art sorry - the eyes often looked off to me, and voluptuous!Chiana really needed to be larger - but actions and who's who were clear.

Back to first lame artist. This one's story is fine, apart from a totally unnecessary fat-Chiana joke. I love this universe but the art style is so scrappy and ugly.

To borrow a Doctor Who expression, this Farscape tale is a timey-wimey installment, with John Crichton thrust into an "unrealized reality" while trying to figure out his son's weird ability to stutter time. In this other world, D'Argo and Zhaan are still alive, Crichton has a different wife and child, and there is some guy brand-new to the Farscape universe. Meanwhile, the beloved Aeryn Sun is off in Peacekeeper world. While Farscape is always enjoyable, this comic falls a little flat because too much of this unrealized reality is the same, while too much is different, but perhaps the worst part is the contrived part. For instance without the original cast of characters and events, would Moya really have still found her way to Katralla's planet, except this time there is no royal advisor she is secretly in love with and is therefore free to fall in love with and marry Crichton? The best science fiction tales bend rules and reality, but this tale felt like a little bit of a stretch. If you leave those items aside, it's enjoyable to see D'Argo and Zhaan again and to revisit John's unique relationship with each of them. It will be interesting to see how the information that John learned in his unrealized reality impacts his reality with Aeryn and Deke.

I actually like with much graphic novels read this in comic book format. However this format is the only one supported on the goodreads site. So please forgive me for the small deception on my part.

First I am a big fan of the Farscape TV Series so without a doubt I had to try the comic series especially when I heard this was canon to the Farscape Universe, I was definitely interested. So I headed to the comic shop and picked up all the issues I could find. Spoiler WarningThis third Volume was by no means pretty when you realize that Aeryn Sun is no longer on Moya you immediately think great they are going for the reboot taking back the whole gift of the PK Wars. However it promises not to disappoint and it gives a great lead in to the Farscape ongoing 12 issue arc that is now running. Also you get a nice glimpse of the Aeryn that might have been had she never encountered Crichton.

Definetly go pick up your copy of this story today if you are one of the fans if your not go watch the show first. It will hook you then you can read this story trust me you will love it.

This is not just Sci-Fi there is no mold to put it in.

This is the third in the series of Farscape graphic novels and, like the two before it, it's very good. In this novel Deke (Aeryn and John's baby son) has an extra gland and somehow he's able to trigger a chance in the space/time continuum. This ends up sending John into an alternate reality.
He's still aboard Moya, But D'Argo and Zhaan are both still alive. Aeryn Sun, though, is not on board; she's still a Peacekeeper, so there's no Deke, either.

To add to the confusion, John is married and has a young girl. He's obsessed with freeing Aeryn from the Aeryn from the Peacekeepers which, as you can figure, causes a whole lot of problems. To find her, though, he has to engage the help of the alternate version of the guy who, in the other reality, has been trailing them and trying to kill them. It all makes for a very good story.

Yet another wonderful romp in the Farscape universe! This four-book series has John getting flung into an unrealized reality where things are similar, but very different. I'm always a fan of time travel/alternate universes as a plot device, and it achieves great success here.

Some old friends and enemies return, you get to meet a couple new faces, and, despite being in an alternate timeline, we learn a little more about what is wrong with Deke and who is trying to kill him.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, the writing and art were both top-notch. Fans of Farscape should not pass this up, and it's some great scifi for everyone else. Highly recommended!

A faithful continuation of the Farscape series! =)

John is accidentally transported to an "unrealized reality" (again). While this is a tangent from the main story arc, John gains vital information during his misadventure. It was also really nice to see Zhaan again. :)

A small quibble: In this unrealized reality Chiana is supposed to have gained a lot of weight (which they mention several times), but I couldn't really tell that they drew her differently.

This is the third volume in the continuation of Farscape. O'Bannon and company continues to tell the awesome tale of John Crichton. This graphic novel is four comic books in one and they each play like an episode telling this overall arc. This time around John has been teleported to an unrealized reality where he is no longer married to Aeryn Sun and his son Deke was never born.

I re-read all of these in the summer while blitzkrieging for a game. I still find myself feeling about the same for the Farscape franchize comics/graphic novels as I ever did. They are sometimes well written, but the art is really sad (because I just love the show and actors so much). Some of the stories meander too much, and Aeryn's ending still gets to me in a way where I don't absolutely agree that's where she should have ended up. But it was a fun summer reread.

I read all four of the individual comic books in this series after were released.

This is an excellent comic series from Boom!Studios and written by the creators of the TV series. All the stories are considered to be official canon and deal with events following The Peacekeeper Wars.

Woohoo, more Farscape adventures! I still long for the days when this show was Sy-fy (I think at the time it was still Sci-Fi) Channel's hottest original series (why, oh why did it get cancelled)?). So far, the comics have continued the story in such a way that makes this fan happy.
