…oder vielleicht doch? 😋
Hier haben wir ein Jugendbuch für nebenbei. Ich hatte die 192 Seiten auch in gut zwei Stunden durch - schwere Lektüre ist es also wirklich nicht. Soll es aber vielleicht auch gar nicht sein.
Als Teenie habe ich das Buch 1000 mal lieber gelesen, heute bin ich einfach zu alt (🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲) um mich mit dem sehr einfach gehaltenen Schreibstil anzufreunden. Die Storyline an sich gefällt mir aber immer noch gut!
Meiner Meinung nach genau das richtige für Teenies von 10 - 15.

I really liked the movie as a kid/tween, but the book sadly just couldn’t match the movie; if you don’t know the storyline before it’s very hard to actually understand what’s happening I think and also the storyline wasn’t as good as I had it in mind, I’ll watch the movie soon again and I hope it can hold up to my memories :(

If you don't know the characters good enough because they aren't yours, please don't bother writing a book based in a screenplay. I'd rather see the movie ¬¬
It's pity because the story was promising, but Mark Stichler wasn't able to apply the acting part of the screenplay in the book. The characters remain plain and uninteresting, although the movie trailer promised much more from Lila and Christopher than the book offers. I expected more depth and background story to complement what the movie already gives, but it lacks everything. The only thing good are the dialogues but that's was expected since it's based on a screenplay... To read that I would have had enough with just the original screenplay, I didn't need a book.

Lässt sich sehr leicht und flüssig lesen - ist aber wohl eher für die jüngere Generation geeignet. Habe es am Tag, wie ich es bekommen hab, angefangen und auch am selben Tag beendet. 1 zu 1 wie der Film - wer also den Film kennt hat es vermutlich noch schneller durch
