Akbar was a child King of India which grew to lead India through the longest period of peace the people had known. This is a short read but gives a a balanced view of Akbar as he struggles with economic and Religious issues .

Very good book, got some knowledge about Akbar, his life, principles. Abul Fath Jelâleddin Muhammed, is the real name of Akbar, Mâhum Anâga, the Emperor's nurse, Akbar's mentor name is Mir Abdullatîf, who teached him about tolerance towards religions.

A good book on Akbar's life.
Best part is that it is short n crisp. Also tells about some of the interesting facts about the great emperor that I haven't seen in the movies or read in the books earlier.

Although a tad bit Islamophobic maybe, it's a really good book which neatly summarises the personality that Akbar was. His virtues and flaws are discussed freely. I guess you can call this one a Goodread
