Yakov M. Rabkin is a historian, author, and public intellectual. He is Professor Emeritus of History at the Université de Montréal. His work focuses on relations between science and technology, cultural aspects of science, and studies of Jews in the scientific profession, as well as Jewish and Israel studies.

Tamam benim de eksiğim kabul ediyorum ama hocalar neden bu tür kitaplarla bizi karşılaştırmadılar lisans yıllarında? Neden Nuri Pakdil romantizmi verip kenara çekildiler anlayamıyorum. Anlıyorum da anlamak istemiyorum, yine.

Este libro cimbró mis concepciones sobre el judaísmo, el sionismo y la constitución del Estado de Israel. Considero que, a partir de su lectura, dejé de admirar al estado sionista. Mientras tanto logré separar judaísmo de sionismo, y ambos de la realidad política y geopolítica de la entidad política de Israel. Saber que en todo el espectro ideológico del judaísmo había protestas contra la existencia misma del estado de Israel me conmovió.

En estos tiempos convendría una reelectura del libro.
