Really enjoyed this read. Found it very interesting and at times quite amusing to see the take of a 19th century English Scholar on some of the most popular works of literature that I grew up with as a native Arabic speaker.

I also found the translation of the pieces of poetry to be very well done. Very pleasantly surprised.

A nice overview of poetry and stories from Arabia and Persia. I enjoyed the short poems that were included in the piece but was thrilled to read The Seven Voyages of Sinbad and Aladdin and his Magic Lamp too. Now that I'm older I have a better sense of geography from where the stories come from and take place. It makes the tales even. ore enjoyable.
