Rate this book
It's been almost a year since the girls of the pop-music club started jamming together, but the start of the new year is no time to look back on their journey - it's time to recruit new members! Despite their inexperience, the girls' passionate performance at the entrance ceremony impresses first-year Azusa, a budding guitar player who can't wait to join. But she didn't expect there to be so much tea drinking in the pop-music club. Or cosplaying...When do they get around to making music?!

I've recently got back into mangas and graphic novels. This one is really cute about school girls in a band but there are so many comedy moments. I really enjoyed it and would defi Italy read other volumes

If you're looking for a light-hearted read after a long, hard day, you really can't look further than K-On!

To put it simply, it's a bit of a 'fluff' tale about a group of girls who make up the pop music club at school, and their misadventures together. The eclectic bunch, made up of Yui Hirasawa on guitar, Mio Akiyama on bass, Ritsu Tainaka on drums and Tsumugi Kotobuki on keyboard, the girls are seemingly more interested in drinking tea and eating cake, than they are rehearsing, or doing anything remotely music related. Though, when push comes to shove, their love for one another and the fun they have always pulls them over the finish line.

Lacking much of a storyline, and with almost no plot whatsoever, K-on! is definitely not going to be the sort of manga that keeps you on the edge of your seat; but it's such a refreshing break from the typical manga-drama, that you can't help but adore it and all of it's characters. Definitely a must for any music lover, with scattered pieces of technical advice throughout, it's nice to be able to relate with what the girls go through as they master their instruments. On a personal note, even my boyfriend, an avid drummer, really enjoyed this, because of the accuracy and precision with which the music is slipped in.

There are moments when you feel like you're reading the same thing you did in the last chapter, and wonder if anything different is going to happen, but with moments that genuinely make you chuckle, and causes you to smile the whole way through it, there's no way that you couldn't like K-On

I was rather pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this volume. If the first volume was a little too similar to the equally well known Lucky Star 4koma series, then the second one showed me that they're different enough to keep the more cynical readers entertained.

The cuteness factor has to be one of the best things about this series. If you're a fan of cute girls doing cute things, you'll continue to love this series with the second volume. The inevitable vacation scenes continue to be my favorite portion of the series, although Yui getting a cold is pretty fun as well.

This really is a sweet and harmless series, which is really nice to read inbetween the more serious fare out there. There's only so much Higurashi you can read before you just need to read something that's more comprised of sweetness and light, after all.

I don't think I'll ever be as big of a fan of this series as I would like to be, but it's one that I'll continue to collect and would recommend to others to do the same. The good thing is that while it'd be best to read them in order, if you do happen to pick up the second volume without having read the first, you won't really be that lost. The series is one that can be read (so far in my experience) in any order without having to know that much of the back story- something that can be invaluable when you're in a bookstore that only has the later volumes.

1. Cilt bittiği gibi 2. Cildi de okuyup bitirdim. Gayet iyiydi.

All in all, if you weren't keen on the first volume, this second one provides more of the same. A new character and some additional focus on the musical side of things is nice, but you definitely know what you're getting when you read K-ON!

Really love the anime, I didn’t like the manga nearly as much probably because this manga style annoys me(“4-Koma” I think it’s called)😁👌🎸❤️

Esse volume tem a introdução de uma nova personagem e ela faz toda a diferença! Não tem muito o que falar de diferente do primeiro volume exceto que a participação da Asuza faz as coisas ficarem 10x mais fofas e engraçadas.

Another borrowed book from Bryan!!``
As I was reading towards the middle of the light manga, I thought that I should go ahead and catch up on the anime. I was only on the second episode when I decided to do that and had to get all caught up! I would read, what I would assume, was an episode from the books and then I would watch an episode only pausing when I thought that I was going to go further than the light manga. I love seeing that the anime adaptation pretty much stayed true to the books only slightly differing when they had to keep up with the timing of the episodes like adding in bits of drama here and there.

I definitely love the songs and listening to them makes my soar flutter. I really like listening to "My Love is a Stapler'.

I think I fell in love with these girls. HAHA. I always feel the need to do some artwork of them but I never have any pen and paper around so oh, well. HAHA. At least I have something else to look forward to whenever I go to the next anime convention. I want the entire set of characters!!``

This series is pretty cute. The girls are fun and I like all their different personalities. I was surprised to find out the manga-ka is a male. With how cutesie and girly the characters are, I assumed only a female could have created them! Haha, shows what I know and how I shouldn't make assumptions.

I wonder if I can find the anime anywhere. I'd like to watch it after I read this series.

Light comedy, not very substantial but a pleasant change-of-pace after three volumes of Rurouni Kenshin's battles and drama. I definitely prefer the anime version of K-On though. 2.5 stars, rounded down.

Much like volume one, this is a fun read. The addition of Azusa adds even more fun. Her relationship with Yui is hilarious. Mio seems to be coming out of her shell and Ritsu is getting more responsible. They are growing as people and as a band.

Once I finished V1, I took to MangaGo to read V2 as scanslations. I will probably do the same for the other volumes as well......eventually.

Azu-Nyan!! In this volume, Azusa Nakano joins the Light Music Club. Gotta love her cat-eared scenes and the famous cake scene!

These are alright but not for me. They have some cute and fun moments but overall not much happens. I won't be continuing.
