I was young and imature and therefore I really loved it. I remember enjoying the beautiful descriptions of mountains covered in snow and everything that senses could experience. Today I don't believe on it anymore, but I keep the 4 stars for the good times we spent together.

"Dalai" este un cuvant mongol care inseamna "Ocean" si "Lama" un termen tibetan inspirat din indianul "Guru" care desemneaza "Maestrul". Impreuna, "Dalai" si "Lama" se praduc prin "Ocean de Intelepciune".

Ah, sido de lo mejor que leído. Está lleno de de magia y esa vida interesante que sólo llevan los monjes tibetanos.

Whether you believe this story as physical reality or not you have to admit there is something compelling about the idea of forcing further development upon selected individuals for the benefit of the whole society.
As mankind develops more technical means of meeting situations, more developed individuals are required to bring the rest of humanity along. The means by which this can be achieved rests mainly in the mind – the human capacity to imagine before it physically experiences.
Indeed even the ability to interpret experience that is unfamiliar requires mental elasticity. Lobsang Rampa paints pictures of awe and wonder by priming his audience with such a foreign setting as distant Tibet to begin his journey.
The strange combination of physical and mental experiences as a means of growing a child’s ability is partly what makes this story so compelling.
We are constantly restrained by our parents to not do what they consider may be harmful to us. By this means we are grossly or generally denied our own understanding. We are instead channelled through their experience as an early understanding of the world.
And yet as the world changes our parents cannot know what they have not yet experienced. So any attempts to guide a child by a lack of a teacher’s knowledge become fraught with distortion.
However unbelievable The Rampa Story is to us, it challenges this common instinct of childhood – to know what no one else can tell us.
To read The Rampa Story is to allow oneself to explore possibilities about unintended hurt being a preparation of intended hurt, and how to process it without losing oneself. To feel that positive intensions and negative intensions may have the same activities associated with them, and yet very different results by one’s own power is a remarkably freeing notion.
To experience much of this through the eyes of a small child, no matter how precocious, is an invitation to unlock ourselves from a pre-ordained adulthood. It makes us question ourselves and not just what we are being told or presented with.
The popularity of the Rampa books over a fifteen year publishing history show their worth for these reasons. Any debate about the authenticity of the Tibetan perspective is secondary to these other aspects of the interest and purpose they serve for many and diverse readers worldwide.

Discordante !!, No me gustó nada ver que los sufrimientos de Lobsang siguen siendo por demás injustificados, todo aquello que podría salir mal a él le pasa. No encontré la razón que cambiara de cuerpo a uno menos enfermo y que al cabo de meses todo su cuerpo es trasladado célula por célula al nuevo cuerpo, con todas las cicatrices y deterioro sistémico que tenía, entonces cual fué el caso de cambiar de cuerpo. Solo me gustó ver su convivencia con sus dos cariñosas gatitas y el final de libro en el que pareciera que su vida podría tener un descanso y una mejor calidad de vida. De todos modos seguiré leyendo los siguientes libros.

El ultimo libro de su vida al menos eso yo creo ya que en este termina su crecimiento a lo largo de su vida. Me ha gustado mucho estos tres libros he aprendido mucho sobre las enseñanzas del Tíbet.

Monks have a tough life, a very tough one and the author's experience and journey is a testament.
The author also shares his esoteric spiritual experiences, out of the body experience, after death experience. Most of them are unbelievable to a usual city dweller of today. But, he claims them to be the Truth.
Whether one believes them to be true or not is an amazing read even if you consider the experiences to be fiction.
Someone who is spiritually bent, and interested in esoteric concepts of out of the body and afterlife might be able to appreciate the book very deeply.

L'Histoire de Rampa est avant tout un roman décrivant la vie d'un homme qui n'a jamais existé : Tuesday Lobsang Rampa. En effet, des enquêtes réalisées dans les années 70 permirent de "démasquer" l'auteur, qui n'est autre qu'un Britannique au nom de Cyril Hoskin. Cependant, cet élément n'a pas freiné le succès remporté par ses différents ouvrages.
Le pays dont il parle au début de son œuvre : le Tibet, n'existait pas, à l'époque, tel qu'il le décrivait non plus, mais correspond plutôt à une vision mystique et fantasmé de ce pays, très répandue à ce moment. De même que les thèses développées dans ce livre, que l'auteur nous présente comme étant bouddhique n'ont rien d'idées orientales puisqu'elles proviennent de la Société Théosophique, pour la plupart, un mouvement fondé en 1875 par Héléna Blavatsky. Ces idées ont par ailleurs en commun une chose, c'est d'avoir été rejetées par le consensus scientifique. À lire donc avec beaucoup de recul. D'autant plus que ces sujets pris dans la société théosophique et remanié ici sont à la base de ce que l'on nomme aujourd'hui le New Age.

Sé que soy bastante ignorante respecto a la filosofía oriental. Pero este libro en lugar de abrirme la mente me confundió y enojo mucho. El protagonista me pareció muy antipático. Para mí se quejó de algo que estaba obligado a hacer, durante todo su viaje lo único que leí fueron quejas de los "occidentales" y mi pregunta es ¿por qué no regresas al Tibet y trabajas en tu misión desde ahí? No entendí para que tanto viaje, para qué toda esta tortura. Y a la final nunca se mencionan los "estudios" que debía desarrollar. Solo fueron sus penurias, y había algo que sí me pareció interesante como la otra historia de la creación, o lo de los viajes astrales, está bien. Pero y el resto, me pareció que no entiendo, si lo que leí es como de verdad piensan los monjes budistas me quedo con mi filosofía occidental, mi religión y mi ciencia, lo digo con todo el respeto del mundo, desgraciadamente este libro me acaba de apagar mi curiosidad sobre esta cultura milenaria que solo busca la iluminación.

Es una mezcla entre pecuela de El tercer ojo (libro 1) y continuación de El médico del Tíbet (libro 2) lleno de inconsistencias ya que recorre muchos países (Polonia, Rusia, China, Francia, Canadá, USA) y en todos los paises se puede comunicar y recibe muchas fracturas en el cuerpo y ni Wolverine se recupera tan fácil y pronto.
Se salva por los pocos fragmentos donde habla del cordón de plata, aura, reencarnación.

Un libro muy interesante explica algo sobre el Tíbet. Con un sombrío final como advertencia. Además expone algo sobre los anteriores libros y expone las dificultades del autor en torno a su misión.
