The My Cooking Class Series takes a refreshing approach to learning the art of home cooking. The recipes are presented in complete visual sequences from start to finish, and every ingredient and every step is shown from above in full color so it's as true to life as possible -- just like a real cooking course. Written instructions accompany each recipe, and specialized tasks, such as making homemade pasta, are clearly demonstrated. Variations, notes and glossaries are welcome additions to each "class." My Cooking Class replicates a professional cooking course and will transform how home cooks learn to prepare dishes and meals. Every ingredient, pot, pan and tool is shown, not just described, making this new visual cookbook format deliciously simple. Food from the Middle East is popular for its unique taste and, perhaps more importantly, its healthy ingredients. These dishes sing with earthy spices, tomato, parsley, lemon and honeyed fruits, and a country index shows the origin of each recipe. Some of the well-loved favorites
OMG! The "My Cooking Class" line of books are the most awesome cookbooks ever. Anyone who has ever read one of my cookbook reviews knows how much I love the photo layout of the books, this has to be the best yet! What I love the most about Middle Eastern Basics is the aerial photography that shows the reader all of the ingredients from an overhead well lit display, and it provides a fantastic step by step set of recipes that makes cooking fun. I certainly recommend this along with any of the other "My Cooking Class" cookbooks to anyone who's interested in learning about cooking the right way. I will definitely be adding this cookbook to my bookshelf.
This book is part of the "My Cooking Class" series, which have multiple high quality photographs of everything to do with a recipe, from the ingredients to what the final product should look like. This one has 80 recipes, including how to make Kibbeh--the dumplings that are bulgar encasing a ground lamb or beef mixture, then deep fried. Very thorough instructions
The thing I love about these books is that you get a step-by-step guide on making all the dishes WITH PICTURES! There is a picture for everything! I love that!
