Age Range: Are we ever too old for fart jokes?

I may be aged 21 but gods this book was hilarious!! Gassy goblins, a self-important pharaoh mummy that thinks he is the centre of everything and that everything is a game it’s just hilarious. Not to mention there is a character that is called Princess Poot. Thinking about her introduction just brings a smile to my face. Here’s the princess, here’s the poot! I’m laughing at both this sentence and I for still finding this funny as I type. It’s a book for kids that really gets its audience. Well done Tommy!

I love the series but I cannot tell you the first thing about this book. I don't know why just something about this one is so unmemorable and I've read and enjoyed all of the books this one just did not stick.

Have you heard this one: "This is the song that never ends...." Well, "Scream Street" has taken on that sentiment. It started as a series about a boy, Luke, who becomes a werewolf and must move to a town created for legendary creatures. In the first 7 books, Luke and his friends Resus and Cleo must find 6 relics to open a door to the "normal" world so that Luke can take his parents home. Now that the door is open, Luke's parents actually like living in this new world. Books 8 and on tell of the new adventures the kids have returning all the relics. It's as if Donbavand is saying "just kidding" to his previous books. In book #10, the trio must return mummy Heru's heart. But first they must evade the faceless Movers, run from pesky goblins, fight off scaremaids, and escape the belly of a giant chloroworm. It gets a little much, but it may appeal to those readers who don't mind over-the-top action.

This was a lot of fun and utterly silly, which is all you can ask for in a book. The goblins were terrific.
