If you have ever had lunch in a pub in Ireland, you will love this little book. I am lucky enough to have eaten in some great little places in The Republic and enjoy the type of food that is served. The Irish have a fondness for cabbage and potatoes which I share and I often make colcannon at home which consists of both vegetables.

The book is divided into several sections, including breakfasts, breads, main dishes, pub bites, and desserts. All are fairly uncomplicated and I found several that I want to try. It is an interesting cook book and fun to read. Give Irish cooking a try (if you are not on a diet!!!)

After eating at our favorite local pub I saw this book at my local TJMaxx and bought it because our favorite pub evokes great memory- and I’m excited to try some of these recipes.

This is my go to cook book. I have had is for years. I have made 95% of all the recipes in the book and love it. Directions are easy and pictures are pretty. My go to for at least the last 6 years for pot lucks is the Irish Cream Cheesecake. Hands down the best recipe you will find for an Irish Cream cheesecake. I used to use Baileys but now use 5 Farms. If you know someone who loves to dye by chocolate make them this. I can almost make this without the recipe now lol. If you love Irish food or are even just curios this book is worth the buy.

Quick impressions: This is a nice and light cookbook featuring Irish pub food. Recipes vary in complexity, but there are one or two that may be viable to the average home. The highlight for me in this was the photography, which makes the food look really good, and to be honest, makes me want to take a trip to Ireland and find pubs that make food like this.

A great collection of recipes from Ireland's pubs. Easy, great tasting and wonderfully rich in cultural favorites. I love collecting recipes from my heritage and this was a collection of recipes that I could not live without. The pictures are mouthwatering and the recipes are pretty easy to do. Good eats.

I finally made one of the dishes: The Honeyed Parsnips.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, Omigosh!

I cheated a bit and didn't boil them. Then again, I may change it and cut them in thick coin cuts; put more honey, less oil.

This was such a great buy, cannot wait to try the recipes requiring stout. Praise The Lord for Guinness!

I want to eat everything in this book, except for the thing with the beets.
