Amazon bestselling author, Tiffany Green, credits her passion for the Regency-set historical romance to her long-time hero Judith McNaught. Inspired by the structure of old-world society and settings, Tiffany sought to create characters and story lines to challenge that structure with the slightly darker, more sensual voice of Regency Allure.

With 4 books from the Secrets and Scandals Series published, Tiffany looks forward to publishing the next book in the series, Lord Rogue. She intends to further test the limits of the Regency genre with more intriguing concepts in 2018.

Tiffany enjoys a quiet, country life with her husband on the live oak dotted acreage of her small Central Texas town. When the opportunity presents itself, she travels to Europe to research settings for her writing and cruises the Caribbean.

You know when you have that (hopefully) rare book where nothing happens, a snooze fest that makes you question why you read on – well that didn’t happen here rather I found myself baffled and getting dizzy due to how much happened, in such a short time span (seriously I felt like a cartoon character with birds/stars dancing around my head as I shook myself). When I say a lot happens this is in regards to both events and the main characters’ behaviour/feelings. For example, one minute (literally) the heroine is potently outraged at the hero .

Honestly, I read on thinking things couldn’t get more absurd – boy was I wrong. Luckily this was a super short read, the absurdity of things amusing me rather than enraging me.

The characters lacked depth and it felt like the author didn't know where she wanted to go with the tale so she threw in a bit of everything.

Won’t be continuing with this series.

I wasn't going to even add this to my Goodreads log, because I thought it would be a quick, fun read that I finished in a day and not worth writing about, however this book was SO BAD I felt the need to post a review to warn people. If you're looking for a romance novel with EVERY single stupid trope of old-school romance, where no interaction makes any sense and no one reacts the way an actual human would; where any action is entirely driven by outside forces and not by character development or internal reaction from the characters, where rape is used as a plot device multiple times and the heroine doesn't react to any of it, where the male character gets shot and gets right back up, and the female character suffers so many head injuries she should have had permanent brain damage (which might actually explain why she acts like a moron all the time), and the random "mystery" sub-plot is so ham handed as to be completely uninteresting and laughably obvious - this is your book. Unfortunately, I was looking for something light with interesting characters who feel in love in a believable way, so this was not the book for me.

To many ideas for one book, and not much of a romance book. She had 3 books going on i hope she learn to narrow her ideas.

I'm so glad I read this free because it wasn't worth a dime, it took me a week to get through it to. Hopefully she'll get better.

I can’t put down! Such a beautiful story!.....5 Stars!

Nicholas, the Duke Of Claremont and Lady Megan. Her parents are the Duke and Duchess Of are missing. Her brother becomes her guardian but he’s away at sea so, beautiful Megan was sent to London to the next in line guardian, which happens to be Nicolas, the Duke Of Claremont. She’s been in love with him since she was 13 years old. Her family and his family are friends but her brother Julian and Nicolas are fierce enemies because of some misunderstanding. Now 5 years later she becomes his ward. Nicolas fell in love with her even before she came to London, in her bordering estate when she was pretending to be a stable lad, a commoner riding her horse, suspecting her of stealing his missing horse. He didn’t know she was a lady. When in London, he thought his friend sent her to his townhouse as a plaything and she became his lover. But her assumption of marriage after their night together was altogether different from what he had in mind ...as his mistress. This is a wonderful tale of love, passion, intrigue, hardship, suspense, angst and secrets. I loved it and it’s highly recommended. My first book of this author and would love to read more of hers.

An exceptionally fantastic and marvelous romantic adventure and love story.

Mystery, intrigue, kidnapping and high seas adventure are just a few of the obstacles that Megan and Nicholas must overcome before they can be together and have their happily ever after. In this first book of the Secrets & Scandals series, Megan fell in love with Nicholas when she was little more than a child. Nicholas falls for Megan at first sight and thus begins their romantic journey to be together.

It was an ok read but I don't think the author understands that you don't need so much drama in one book.. This was just all over the place.. Hopefully the author has gotten better..

Overboard!

This book would have been so much better without all the excess drama! Too much! Loved the basic plot, but there is way too much crammed into it. For example, the rape attempt by sailors on the ship and eventual trial.....why was it added? Didnt need it! The back and forth misunderstandings and undue angst between the two main characters is another example....enough is enough. The author does the job well enough without all the additional side stories. I inadvertently read book 3 prior to reading this one in this series, and plan to go on to book 2, but I already know it will be filled with extra BS that unfortunately tends to take away from the basic plot. I dont believe I would recommend this book to another.

I started off thinking, hey here is a nice plot, let's read... I could not continue past 50% of the book. I was so disappointed with the heroine. she does not have any opinions for herself. There is no strength in the character. She just assumes and cries. At times, I wondered if she was even a duke's daughter. The description of her entry to society would be more suited to a person who is of "common" existence. I could not believe it was for her. The hero also did not have spunk..He could have stood up to Julian. Anyways, I was irritated with the heroine and I just stopped. Sigh!

Good book

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found the story intriguing and the romance sweet. This is the first time I have read a book from this author but I certainly will read book two in the series.

Unexpectedly fun kindle unlimited historical romance find. The book was all over the place with one drama happening right after the other, kinda a start stop every chapter. But it was still a good read, and I liked the characters.

Needs a good overhaul. All over the place and the hero and heroine truly need some character work. DNF

Innocence Lost

The storyline was good, so I gave it three stars. I felt the dialogue was stilted and confusing. The story was just ok

As the kidnapper plots...
Lady Megan has a secret. From her first glimpse of the Duke of Claremont's portrait, her heart has yearned for the impossible. The duke is none other than her brother's most hated enemy. But a chance meeting with the insufferable man has Megan none too pleased. In fact, the duke could ruin her, that is, if he ever were to learn her true identity.

As the kidnapper closes in...
Then her parents go missing, their burned carriage found nearby. Megan is desperate for answers, but learns nothing. With her brother away at sea, she has little chance of finding them on her own. As influenza ravishes the area, her only option left is to travel to London and seek help from the very man who holds her fate in the palm of his hand. And just as the duke restores her trust and sneaks back into her heart, her brother returns.

As the kidnapper strikes...
Being held for ransom is bad enough, but Megan realizes her life rests with the two men she loves most, the two enemies who must now work together to save her from a madman and his surprising accomplices. Will the duke and her brother set aside their animosity and arrive in time? Or will she be swept overboard to her death?
