I found this book easy to read, and I believe empowering - it tries to focus on what is in your control to have a positive and meaningful approach to life.
I found many useful ideas from reading this book. The recurring message of the author in this book is that you have choices. How we respond to the events in our life is what matters. This is a book I will have on a shelf to look at for reference. I am already using several of the ideas, most notable, the book did the best job of explaining the Law of Attraction I have read, and also the idea of slow diaphragm breathing instead of breathing from your chest to shift away from a stress response.
One of the better recent efforts as self-help books go. Though you will certainly not find any new concepts here, there is a balance skewed more towards the scientific and practical than toward the new age and spititual. The topics here are common sense that really isn't that common, like the fundamentals of HAVE-DO-BE and the Law of Attraction. Useful and maybe even life-changing for someone who hasn't already read all the books that came before.
Oh my gosh. I was expecting cliches and some remediation, but I was not expecting to be told to stop watching and reading the news because it would negatively reconfigure the "energy" in my body due to its bummerness. Since there is nothing original in this book, I'm assuming that advice (avoid reality for others and just do nice things for yourself) is also a staple of the self-help genre, which explains a lot about how things are going on this country. Good lord!
One of the easier to read and straightforward ones in it's genre. A great intro to the concepts with lots of tools for the newbie or a great inspirational soul food for the practitioner who needs some refueling. Responsibility and choice being the main subjects with plenty of good reasoning and studies to back it up.
Very practical tools to improve your life. You need to know that everything is your choice. Using gratitude as your tool to see the new information in setbacks.
