Following the adventures of Florian (Flo), Carolin (Caro), Phillip and Phillip’s pet cockatoo, Coco, who live in Hillsdale and operate their amateur detective club from The Sugar Shack, the sweet shop owned by Caro’s uncle Leo. Her other uncle, Lars, is a police detective and it was his suggestion they set up their own agency. This contains two stories – “The Treasure At Blackbird Rock” and “The Rabbit’s Tale”.
Julian is the son of H J Press, who wrote the incredible “The Adventures Of The Black Hand Gang” which has been one of my favourite books since 1978 (I was 9, that was 48 years ago!) and he’s stuck to a similar formula, though the writing is a little more simplistic (I shouldn’t criticise that, it’s a kids book!). However, Julian does have his Dad’s skill at art and has apparently embraced the ‘Wimmelbild", where illustrations are deliberately overcrowded with detail. An entertaining enough read, with some top quality artwork, I’d recommend this to the young and the young-at-heart!

Приятно и различно. Харесва ми, че главите са кратки, но те карат да обгръщаш.
С Ясен успяхме да намерим повечето следи, но някои си бяха невъзможни.
Стил на писане - ужасен :)

The story wasn't all that strong, but enough that someone would feel like they can solve the problem. The pictures are black and white. Sometimes it was super easy to see what you are supposed to see. Other times, even when I knew where I should look (the next page tells you) I couldn't find what I was supposed to see.

I could see how this could be a great book for a more reluctant reader, but it really didn't hold my attention well. I believe there are four books out in the series, but I'll probably skip the rest.
