I love that this book gives you step by step guide on steps to overcome what’s holding you back but dives deep into breaking down the obstacles so they’re easier to overcome so you can move forward in a more positive and productive way. I love that there are even journaling prompts to help you break down what’s holding you back.

The audio version on Audible is also great because you get even more than you do in the book. His best friend Dean interviews him at the end of each chapter.

If you’ve not listened to his podcast, the Mindset Mentor, I highly recommend you give it a listen. It’s my favorite podcast. He’s real, he’s raw, and he talks about his personal experiences. He’s done the work and it’s powerful.

Paired with insights from Emotional Intelligence Habits,Rob Dial truly strikes gold with this publication, diving into fears, goals, standards, time management, and habits with exceptional clarity.

His articulate writing style ensures easy comprehension. Additionally, Rob hosts a remarkable podcast, "Mindset Mentor," that is a great listen as well.

I found this book to be so eye opening on why we don’t take action and the importance of self awareness. Feeling way more motivated in my goals and how I can get there.

I found this really motivational! I’ve read quite a lot of self-development books already so the information itself is not particularly new but it is presented in a very uplifting, easy and eyeopening way which makes it much more accessible. I recommend the audiobook because Rob Dial narrates himself and does so in an enthusiastic tone and fast pace. Plus you will get the extra of him discussing each chapter with his good friend. I think I’ll get myself a hardcopy of this book to glance back where needed.

A great book to help those who need some recalibration

I started listening to Rob Dial's podcasts late last year for some ideas on how I could change my mindset and approach to life. Whilst this book is largely a consolidation of the topics discussed in the podcasts, having this book to read 10 or so pages each day as part of my morning routine has really helped me. It has the obvious theme of perserverance when you're trying to better yourself and improve your life, but also some really good practical techniques as well.

If you're wanting to improve your life and looking for ideas on what to change, this is a great start.

The book is well written and in a way which does not overcomplicate the theme.

I would love to have learned a bit more about Rob's journey on getting to where he is today in terms of how he set his business up, what specific challenges he faced and how he overcome them.

This was a pretty solid self help book. The author is a prolific Podcaster who has talked to everyone in the self help circle. Fortunately I've never listened to him and came to this book fresh. I liked the organization, direction, and voice of the book. Anything new? No, but it is worth a read to refocus and be reminded of you've forgotten or neglected.

If you don’t know who Rob Dial is, it’s your lucky day! This man is nothing short of genuine! Super intelligent. Down to earth. Gives you what you need without all the “fluff”. He speaks to you like he’s an old friend. Nothing is sugar coated and at the same time, he won’t ever coddle you. Level Up is his gift to the you and the world. An insight not just to who he is, how he’s healed and grown his business, but a guide on how to set your mindset and take action and be excited about it, even when you feel paralyzed and unsure where to turn.

If you DO know who Rob Dial is, then you know that you won’t be disappointed because he delivers, each and every time!

Don’t forget to check out his podcast too, The Mindset Mentor!

I purchased the audible version of Level Up! I just started listening to it a few days ago so I haven't gotten through very much of it yet, but so far it has been amazing! I love listening to his podcasts but I feel like this book goes so much more in depth and is more of a structured manual on how to change your life. For anyone thinking about getting this book, just do it!! You won't regret it. The audible version is narrated by Rob himself, which I absolutely love. Some of the voices on audible can be annoying to me sometimes or boring/monotone which makes me lose attention, so I really love this part about Level Up!

YES.

Rob Dial is AWESOME man!! I came across him a couple months ago. I was just getting into self help podcasts (that turned into audiobooks, then books) and I stumbled upon his Mindset Mentor podcast, while I was in a pretty low place mentally. I have read or listened to a handful of self-help books, and this one is honestly one of my favorites! His podcast and this book are life-changing if you really implement his strategies in your lifestyle, and want to help change your mindset.

Also - I recommend tearing out the page in the back and hanging up on your workspace or pinning in your fridge. It’s a great reminder!

The moment I started reading this book I was instantly intrigued to keep reading. It includes very innovative ways of learning thru storytelling, his personal experience and includes research-based studies and findings. (Something I have never really seen before in other personal development books). I also Love the Journal Prompts at the end of each chapter which makes this book also a workbook. I highly recommend this book and also to listen to his podcasts. He is so authentic and passionate and provides so much knowledge.

I’m a sucker for a good self help lol. I actually did enjoy this book and I think it has some good reminders and general truths for life. There is some research based content in here and some anecdotal stuff too (mostly). I personally find these books really motivating/reinforcing BUT this guy has a podcast where he shares most of this stuff anyway.

I’ve been listening to Rob Dial podcast for a while now and of course I had to read his book. It’s a good one! I’ve read many self-improvwment book in the past and they often get sketchy or irrealist. This one is honestly so good. It’s filled with practical ideas and notions. Gave me the extra push I needed!

The rob dial podcast mindset mentor is really fantastic and one I’ve been listening to for years. I had really high hopes for this book because of that. However, I do have to say that I felt it was a little bit lacking and somewhat generic as far as helpful tips.

Rob Dial has been an anchor for me for the past few years. I didn’t know what a “positive mindset” or proactivity were before I started listening to his extraordinary podcast. I used to think of self help as a lame and dangerous cult and didn’t realise how desperately I needed, if so, to be a member.
Because I am so used to listening to his podcast I went for the audiobook, which I absorbed throughout the past couple of months whilst warming up at the gym.

What to say? Everyone should read it. Everyone should reread it.
I’ll see you at the second round.

Level Up is giving you an insight in, not only, why making changes in your life can be difficult, but also giving you a very detailed recipe of how to overcome challenges and step up, one level at the time, for the life you want to live.
Its a brilliant peece of equipment to have by your side whether your want to loose weight, build a business or you just want to put more efford in making your own life more valuable and fullfilled.
Level Up gets 10 out of 10 stars from me. And I am absolutely sure, that I will read this book several times while making the changes I wish to make in my own life.

One of, if not the best, self improvement book I have ever read. I love Rob’s podcast and listen fairly regularly, but this book synthesizes everything you need to know and do to make small, incremental improvements that will significantly impact your life ove rather long haul. I’ve read a lot of self improvement both out of interest and for making my life better and nothing else hits like this book. I love it and highly recommend it for anyone looking to level up.

I stumbled upon Rob’s podcast when I was starting to dabble in self-development, law of attraction, etc. I kept hearing him recommend his book and finally decided to give it a shot (I’m not much of a reader) I listened to it on audiobook and absolutely LOVED it!

This was one of the first books I read specifically about self development and having a better mindset to create a better reality for yourself.

I loved the neuroscience backed facts and relatable story examples. There are so many nuggets of wisdom that I have carried with me and said to others since finishing this book. I have recommend it to many of my friends and family members

Make sure you have a notebook to jot things down while you are reading it. You will want it! 🙂

An inspiring book that is definitely worth a read. The podcast is also great and a lot of the book is from that but it’s all in one place! Small steps make big differences and Rob Dial focuses on the process/journey not the end result.

Really great book jam-packed with lessons you can actively do during the book. The writing is very easy to read, it's a relatively short book, and each chapter has a good amount of examples & anecdotes to go along with the suggestions of how to "level up". I'll definitely be writing down some notes and skimming through it throughout the next year so that I can slowly develop more of these good ideas.

The only negative is the fact that it does have many ideas and it can be hard to take it all in at once. I read this book quick to make sure I could finish my book goal this year, but definitely should implement the goals slowly, one at a time so you don't get too overwhelmed.

"Level Up" by Rob Dial is a motivational guide that provides insights and actionable strategies to help individuals overcome inaction, stop procrastinating, and elevate their lives. The book emphasizes the importance of understanding the reasons behind inaction, taking effective actions, and creating sustained habits for continuous progress. The key points from the book include:

1. Reasons Behind Inaction:
- Fear: Fear is a natural emotion but often becomes a barrier to success. Common intellectual fears include fear of failure, rejection, success, being perceived as a fraud, and abandonment. Recognizing fear as an illusion allows individuals to convert it from an obstacle to a stepping stone.
- Self-Narrative: The stories individuals tell themselves, often based on past experiences, can create a powerful identity that either serves or hinders their aspirations. Breaking free from this narrative involves taking actions that align with the desired future, gradually forming a new and empowering identity.
- Lack of Clear Goals: Vague aspirations hinder progress. Clear and specific goals, rooted in passions and aligned with personal values, provide direction and motivation. Visualization is a powerful tool to make these goals feel achievable and normalize the pursuit of dreams.

2. Strategies to Take Effective Action:
- Direction: Knowing where you want to go is essential. Establish clear goals and a sense of direction, acting as a compass for your journey.
- Action: Take small, daily actions that align with your goals. Reflect on your actions weekly to assess progress and adjust your course if necessary.
- Time: Real change requires consistency and patience. Choose long-term gain over short-term comfort, investing in your future self across areas like health, finances, and relationships.
- Distractions: Be aware of distractions and strategically manage them. Create a productive environment by eliminating distractions and designing surroundings that foster success.
- Momentum: Start your day with small wins, build a rhythm to prevent burnout, and align tasks with your peak energy levels. Momentum is key to getting things done.

3. Techniques to Create Sustained Action:
- Consistency: Cultivate consistency as a skill by committing to daily actions, even when motivation is low. Discipline plays a crucial role in moving beyond the comfort zone.
- Habits: Identify and replace detrimental habits with positive ones. Keystone habits can have a ripple effect, positively influencing other aspects of life. Focus on developing one keystone habit for 100 days until it becomes ingrained.
- Neuroplasticity: Leverage the brain's adaptive plasticity through deliberate practice, stepping out of the comfort zone, and embracing mistakes. Sleep is crucial for solidifying new skills.
- Dopamine: Celebrate small victories to trigger dopamine release and make the journey enjoyable. Set action-based goals to maintain motivation throughout the process.

4. Path to Leveling Up:
- Recognize the whys behind inaction, addressing fears, self-narratives, and unclear goals.
- Implement strategies to take effective action by establishing direction, managing distractions, and building momentum.
- Create sustained action by cultivating consistency, developing positive habits, leveraging neuroplasticity, and incorporating dopamine rewards.

By persistently taking small, consistent steps and training the brain to work for personal success, individuals can embark on a transformative journey toward leveling up their lives.

This book was great. The Audible version included interview sessions that were really good. The information is not mind blowing but the actions are very doable and help motivate someone to just get started.
