Kayson, Geros and Mal are not hers. She is not theirs. So why does their every touch set her on fire?
Why is it so easy to give in to the pleasure they provide? She must play along. Nothing is real. Every magical touch, every gasp, is just part of the mission.
When she begs for more, it's all part of the plan...isn't it?
Honestly grace’s lengths are what stop it from being great. She really should add an additional 30-50 pages and each one would be just beyond well rounded and fully fleshed out. I love her stories I just ugh they just need that little bit more
The Interstellar Brides series takes place at a time where aliens are real and there are several different planets and species. There is a galactic enemy known as the hive, which is a technological species that invades planets and either kills its inhabitants or transforms their captives into one of them. A coalition was formed between the planets who are at war with the hive. Each member of the coalition is required to supply soldiers and brides to the cause. Soldiers to fight the hive, and brides to repopulate the diminished that have fallen victim to the war. There is a neurological test that a bride takes to be matched to their perfect alien planet, then their perfect alien match on that planet, through a series of sexual desires that only our subconscious can answer for. Earth allows for volunteers to apply to the program, or grants female criminals the option to become a bride over a prison sentence. Those who volunteer are paid a healthy sum of money, and those who are prisoners are cleared of their criminal records, though neither is allowed to return to their homes on Earth. All applicants are required to give up their Earth citizenship to become a resident of their new chosen planet. A bride has 30 days to accept or reject their match. If they accept their claim, they are mated to their new alien husband for the rest of their lives where they are expected to make babies. If they reject their mate, they are assigned a new one on that same planet. And they are still expected to make babies. Warden Egara makes continued appearances throughout the series as she is the one who processes the brides in Florida.
Written in first person, Chosen by the Vikens is book 23 in this series and follows the human bride Carmen Andrianakis (Alias: Ms. Smith) and her Viken mates Geros, Mal & Kayson.
Agent Carmen Andrianakis, aka Agent Smith, was the fifth agent they’d brought to the bride processing center for an assignment, and she was the first to be matched to Viken, where the assignment was. Queen Leah and her two daughters Lilliana and Allayna were the targets of several recent attacks on Viken. Finding the separatists responsible was proving challenging, so Leah hired professional help from Earth. Once Carmen completed this assignment, a promotion would be waiting for her back home. She was not prepared to fall for the three Vikens, who the queen ordered to go undercover with her, along the way.
Geros was from sector 1 (weapons of a spear and shield), where family was all and they preferred anal sex and public affection. Mal was from sector 2 (weapons of bows and arrows), where they preferred bondage while claiming a woman’s pussy. Kayson was from sector 3 (a sword as a weapon), and members of his sector preferred oral sex. They all fight for Viken United now, as royal elites, instead of their individual sectors. It’s been established since the third book in this series that Vikens mated three men to each bride, one from each sector, to further unite the planet. And how perfect that each sector was raised to take a different orifice, so they could each claim one woman at the same time. Anyway, the three were the most trusted of the queen's guards, and therefore assigned to go undercover with Agent Smith as her mates.
Vikens are humanoid. They’re larger than humans but smaller than Prillions. Their potent cum changes the woman’s body to accommodate their mate and is an aphrodisiac that when it comes in contact with skin, releases a pheromone to make the woman aroused and horny (and crave their partner to an extreme). Vikens are probably my least favorite of the alien species. One demanding mate is fun, two better, but three? That’s just too many cocks in my humble opinion.
The four infiltrated the sex club Trinity in search of their suspect. They eventually found what they were looking for, but had to perform sexual acts first. Which of course, led to feelings between them. I have a few issues with those book. First of all; what kind of shitty detective isn't able to tell that her partners are totally into her? I'm not a detective, and even I could have figured it out based on their behavior. A lot of heartache could have been saved if they all communicated with each other. Also, we never discovered where Master Gee forced Morna to sleep. We were simply told that "it wasn't good."
There have been way too many romance novels I’ve read that had me frustrated and yelling “Jesus Christ, when are they gonna fuck?! Get to the good shit already!” When we’re 50% in, and the main characters have barely kissed each other, leaves readers like me aggravated. This is NOT one of those books. I’m fairly confident that there is more sexual content in this book than adventure. It is, quite literally, word porn.
Spankings take place in every single book. If any man spanked me, I would probably kill them in their sleep, but I guess some women do enjoy them. Spankings are more of a turn-off than turn-on in my case, so I just ignore those parts of the books like “nope, that didn’t just happen.”
As I’ve read through this series and all its spin offs, I can attest that the plot is incredibly addictive. I am way too invested in each book, in all its adventure and romance. Grace Goodwin has ruined me for all other romance novels. After reading her material, I find the others to be tame, dull and overall anticlimactic. The plot running in the background of each book, circling the war against the hive, is addictive. This is one of the few series where the adventure is just as intriguing as the romance scenes. I am not ashamed to admit that I have read each of her books at least twice. 🫶🏻

Not my favorite but still interesting. Guess I have a hard time with BDSM but liked how the story played out. She came across as more badass, which I approved.
This book was a long time coming but totally worth the wait and I love that it was different from the others but the same as well but it had me right from the start. Carmen Andrianakis / Ms Smith is a undercover agent that just been given a special mission on the planet Viken on the request of the Queen Leah after her daughter Allayna has been attacked for the forth time and she was almost killed and is a healing pod and she Smith to find the VSS leader and take him down before he can strike again. Kayson, Geros, Mal are Royal guards and didn’t protect the princess and now the Queen has called to speak them and tells them that she has a human agent coming from earth to help catch whoever is responsible for the attacks on her children and that she wants them to pretend to be her mate but that’s it and there are shocked by the request but will not refuse the Queen but they are all not happy about taking on a bride that’s not there to keep. Now in the transport room waiting for her to arrive has them all shocked to see the gorgeous woman lying naked on the floor and knowing she is there fated mate. Things move very quickly and soon Mal, Geros and Smith go to the BDSM called Club Trinity where Mal is a master and all the subs want him but they are on a mission to get answers and Smith finds out a lot of stuff from the other subs that has her getting close to the leader. There is so much more going on in this book that will have you hooked and wanting more. Love it
Kayson, Geros and Mal are the royal guards. Their job is to protect the Kings and Queen and Princess’. When the VSS strikes and put one of the princess’ is jeopardy, reinforcements are needed. Carmen aka Ms. Smith is called in by the queen. Maybe someone from Earth can help find the traitor and stop the attacks. One thing though, she is not a bride. She is only there to help find the traitor.
You have to feel for the guys. I mean being told by the Queen that they are not to touch or do anything to distract from this mission. And also having Ms. Smith in charge, that is so different for them. But experiencing the whole bride emotions, is what makes it tricky too. Smith a feel a pull and it tempted by the guys. And the way they have to find the traitor just pushes her more. You could feel the conflict with them all. Each one does finally experience a part of Smith. Geros and Kayson don’t want to let her go. Mal is the one they you aren’t quite sure of. I do love that he is a fighter and kicks butt. She is an equal to her mates.
Not exactly chosen, but yes, chosen, Carmen was chosen by her commander and the queen to come and help protect the queen and the princesses. And most importantly to find out who wants the war on the planet. So, taking the name of Smith, she was assigned to Mal, Geros, and Kayson. Never had pretending to be mates been so easy and so hard. To infiltrate they had to go to a BDSM club, oh, Lord was she in trouble. She was not used to letting her true self come out, but with those three she could not hold back. Could she enjoy herself and accomplish the mission with the help of her three pretend mates? A really exciting book with a lot of action, both steamy, and otherwise. Could they accomplish their mission?, that was more than likely, but what they truly wanted was for Carmen to stay on their planet, and to be theirs forever.
Grace has given us another exciting Viken adventure, this time with a headstrong female federal agent from Earth, sent to Viken, not as an Interstellar Bride, but as an investigator to find and destroy the enemy that has not only attempted to assassinate the Queen but also her oldest daughter.
"Smith" must pretend to be a bride to three of the royal guards while hunting down the traitor, which becomes harder to do than expected (the bride part, not the hunting).
The three...Mal, Geros and Kayson... instantly find the idea of having to give up this beautiful female when the task is complete, an insurmountable obstacle to their growing emotional attachment to Smith.
Highly erotic dialog, along with dangerous and exciting action and an HEA that will have you cheering.
Our human female is a spy from earth tasked to help sniff out the leader of the opposition from the planet with 3 kings who united their planet as 1 like it use to be years ago before it was split into 3. Their human mate & 2 young daughters have been the target of many assignation attempts.
So this human spy was sent from earth to help the royal family, well pretending to be newly matted to 3 hot royal guards.
The lines between pretending & truth get blurry and she’s worried she’s falling for them.
I’m not a big fan of the books that take forever for them to realize they should be together, I prefer the book before this one where it was a done deal right away. But I digress, it was still an interesting story with some really great spice!
I love the Intersellar Brides Program.... I have read pretty much every book out, all the spinoffs, and have waited patiently for new ones to come out. All the books are pretty good. Some are better and really deserve 4 stars, but they are all really around 3. They are short, sweet, naughty, and generally have an intersting story beyond just sex. Honestly thats what i love about them. They all have a little more then jsut hot aliens gettign it on with human girls. Most of the time you can feel the love not just the lust and theres always a little adventure. Great read for those looking for a palet cleanse or just a short and sweet little mental break!
Carmen Andrainales was inserted into the Interstellar Brides program on the behest of the human queen of Viken. There was a terrorist cell working to dislodge the three kings who united Viken, rather than still being the three separate warring territories. The Royal family along with their children were targeted, and after a near-fatal attack on the oldest Princess, Carmen was requested. She was supposed to have three Viken men working with her, Mal, Geros and Kayson and she was their new human mate...but could they resist each other...terrific story, another winner for Grace Goodwin...
Okay, but not a favorite. While I sometimes enjoyed how innovative the FMC was, at other times her "I'm so independent; f- everything in my past" attitude got annoying. Featuring three MMCs also makes it harder to flesh them out well, too. The scenes with the Viken royal family (from Claimed by Her Mates) were precious though.
I think I must have listened to the abridged version of this book. I checked it out on Libby. I say this because it feels like there were gaps which negatively impacted my experience. Otherwise, the book was fine overall. Exactly what you’d expect from an Interstellar Bride book! I’ve listened to almost all of them now! :) Its narrated by Heather Firth, Chris Merlin, Marcia Caldano, and Matthew Crow. They did well, but the book focused much more on the female perspective so the audio didnt really benefit from having such a great cast.
F*cking Hell.... Amazing... The only thing that I would like to be different it would be the length.... I finished it far too quickly! Otherwise I loved their story! I loved how she came to wear Mal down.. How she made the other two fall in love with her with out even doing it on purpose! I liked that we saw Leia the kings and the two balls of joy that they created! Overall it was a very good book, f*cking hot and I can not wait for the next treasure that will come out of her fingertips!!! 😁
Unusual story of a human female agent from Earth called by the Queen from Viken because she felt that getting another perspective on who was behind the kidnapping of one her children. A BDSM club was where they found one traitor but finding the main instigator was still missing. A sexy scene or two with two of her pretend Mates at the club helped. The third had her measure but had not given in, its the females that choose.
This book was action packed and very steamy romantically. Smith and three Viken warriors were assigned a mission to find out who was trying to murder the princesses. Smith normally works alone so this was a new experience for her. They completed their mission and, along the way, they all fell hard for each other - they were mates. This successful mission was completed in more ways than one. The only issue I had with this book was the multiple and uncommon grammar errors.
What an excellent, spicy who done it! I was buried deep into this mystery thriller of a Sci-fi. The Viken Queen sends to Earth for help from a female Federal Agent. She gets the help of 3 palace guards to help solve the case. They fall in love and a wonderful HEA at the end. Yes! I recommend this story to romance lovers of all kinds. Because of the hot spiciness, it is for mature audiences only.
An agent of law enforcement, sent to uncover a plot against the royal family. So undercover as a bride, she has to reconcile emotions with duty. Seeing the Viken makes react to a woman outside of their mindset is fun and adds some emotional tension to the book. Very enjoyable
It was fine. I haven't really llike the last couple Interstallar Brides books as much. Not sure if I need a break from the series or if there has been an actual change. The Vikens books have not been my favourites - there's something about the mmmf with it really being three mf couples that is annoying.
Another great Interstellar Brides book. Ms. Smith goes undercover to Viken to stop the VSS for good. I was glad that Mal, Geros and Kayson got their story. We get to see Queen Leah, her Kings and the little princesses. It's fast paced and a page turner to find out what happens next. I highly recommend.
I really enjoyed this one. This time we have Carmen being sent to Viken undercover to root out the VSS who are trying to kill the Queen and her daughters. She goes through the Interstellar Brides program though nothing is supposed to be permanent and the three men she is paired with know she is undercover. Carmen is good at her job and she is a threat in her own right and it was great seeing her be so capable and the Queen letting them all know that she was leading the investigation. It took a little bit for her mates to figure it out but I enjoyed the story and how it developed between them while they were working the case. This story does have more of the BDSM aspect in it though it isn't hardcore. I enjoyed it and found the story entertaining. The narrators did a great job with the characters and action in the story.
So good… Carmen Andrianakis, aka Smith is sent to Viken posing as an Interstellar Bride to work with Mal, Kayson, and Geros. Their job is to find and eliminate the VSS terrorist threat to the Queen and her children. They all have a part to play; but it all feels so real….
I really enjoyed this one, good story line and hot hero's. Could really do with a good editor or beta reader though as a lot of word mistakes such as things instead of thighs. Didn't ruin it for me though i will always live graces stories.
How can anyone who loves Aliens pass up a book by Grace Goodwin? I don't know how any reader can. I truly believe the she has some connection to them. Maybe she is one herself hiding among us.
Good story. I always enjoy vikens. Carmen is awesome with great mates. A few though, first lots of typos and second is she'd undercover by orders why did she have top get processed? Soldiers didn't or is that all part of the ruse?
This novel was interesting, and I loved the three mates angle. The men were incredibly complex and lovely. I can't say this was my favorite as the conflict solutions seems very convenient and predictable, but I did enjoy it. Looking forward to reading more.
