The Life & Times of a Boomer Baby

Rate this book
Personal anecdotes about growing up on a farm in the rural south during the 1960s. These sometimes humorous and sometimes poignant stories give a picture of life before cell phones, home computers, satellite T.V. and all those other things we think we can't live without.

As both a reader and a writer, I'm a lifelong lover of the written word. As a child, we always had books in the house, and I came from a family of avid readers. My first inspiration to write in the romance genre came from the novels of Victoria Holt. Following a long newspaper career, I began a freelance ebook formatting business. Working in the book-publishing industry fueled my desire to write. My books cover a variety of romance sub-genres: World War II romance, contemporary romance, romantic suspense, historical mystery, and the supernatural. I hope you enjoy reading my stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.

This was a cute quick read about a family and their growing up stories. It reminded me a lot of my own family and growing up in the south. I could relate to the stories of spending hours going through grandma's button box and playing dress up with her things. And the story of how the dog was the recipient of the Chanel 5 and the new lipstick cracked me up as my own girls have done the same thing to our dog many times. It is a wonder our poor dog has not run away from home. Very touching stories from someone who definitely loved their family.

I thought that this story was an excellent read. It was very heartfelt from the beginning to the end of the tale. L.K.Campbell brought back her memories of her youth & of the yester-years. So it as pretty much explained how simplier, and sweeter it was back then. L.K. Campbell's writing was beautifully done with pure joy & bittersweet nostalgic in each stage of her's and her families life. I laugh, and cried between the pages. It's a real heart clencher this book. It would not be hard to relate too at all.

This is the first ebook I've read and enjoyed so much. And I would recommend anyone to read it. Heck my Mother is reading now.I'd rate The Life & Times of a Boomer Baby with top ten stars and 2 thumbs up.=)~

Personal anecdotes about growing up on a farm in the rural south during the 1960s. The author tells the story of one family's joys and struggles amid changing times. OK, but as a baby boomer myself, not too interesting.

Reminiscent of a lifetime. To put down in words the best times of your life. This was a great read and very reminiscent of growing up in the baby boomer age.
