COME TO THE FEAR - Roy Nemerson Calvin and Zoe are all psyched up about being junior guides at the town's annual fair. But the fun turns to fear and their tasks to terror when they meet a strange old man whose horrible predictions have an eerie, scary way of coming true!
TRAPPED! - Cynthia Blair Annie thinks babysitting's the easiest way to make some quick spending money. But that's before she gets to the creepy old house and the even creepier kid she has to watch. And if baby Jessica's strange, wait till you meet her "pets"!
TIME FOR TERROR - Sandra Shichtman David and Samantha want to collect the most clothes for their school drive and win the top award. But instead of raising clothes for charity, they're suddenly raising ghosts, and instead of winning medals, they may be losing their lives!
I personally loved Trapped! by Cynthia Blair. In all honesty, it's one of the scariest and most unnerving stories that I read as a child, and I still can vividly recall it almost twenty years later. It's about a babysitter who comes to realize that the girl in her care is kinda weird, and that she possesses an unsettling collection of pets, or dolls. This realization comes with another observation, that these dolls resemble missing girls who also babysat around the neighborhood.
This was not one of the better ones in the series. There was not much originality in any of the stories, and very little characterization. They were like B horror movies basically. Fun for younger kids perhaps. Ones who are maybe a little old for Goosebumps but too young for Stephen King and other adult writers.
A very mediocre collection of stories. They were all generic and just had boring premises with plot devices that just didn't add up.
Come to the Fear - a boy and girl are haunted by this old wizard guy who can change the future. An annoying retread of Say Cheese and Die.
Trapped - the most decent story about a preteen babysitting a young girl who turns out to be a creepy weirdo child. Again, this premise has been done to death, but at least some scares are attempted.
Time For Terror - lame story about a watch bringing back angry ghosts from the past. Pretty boring.
There are much better books in this series. I suggest you read them and skip this one.
I remember being really creeped out by Trapped! I re-read it a few times as kid. I don't remember much about the other stories in this one, but I enjoyed that one.
