Hoping to save the Giant Bat Cave from becoming an underground theme park, Scout Brother, Scout Sister, Scout Freddy, and Scout Lizzy apply all their skills toward keeping the Bear Country bats from becoming homeless. Original.
Stan and Jan Berenstain (often called The Berenstains) were American writers and illustrators best known for creating the children's book series the Berenstain Bears. Their son Mike Berenstain joined them as a creative team in the late 1980s.
This was my favorit noval growing up. It did not pass through time well. I fell asleep half way through and had a hard time with the Professors name "Actual Factual", made me have to re-read more sentances then I would have liked. It made me sad.
"I like this book because it's really fun and it's just really important to me because I'm getting badges too- in Trail Life. I think my friends would like this book because we work together like the team in this book." -Conley, age 8
A cute early chapter book shared with my son. We have lots of bats in our neighborhood so it was very easy to visualize the descriptive flying patterns and we learned a lot about the benefits of bats.
Read aloud with my 7 year old when we finished our 1st chapter book for a trip quicker than I expected and this is what I could find easily to read him from library apps. He liked it, we'll read at least a few more in the series. He's grown up on the Berenstain Bear picture books (same for me) and I think he likes being able to follow them to chapter books.
I love watching the bats flying all around our house during the summer so I was never going to be able to resist seeing the Berenstain Bears trying to stop the evil developers from destroying the bat cave. In the UK bats are protected so we're ok but the bears need a plan to spoil the plans. I liked this book, the humour and the cartoons!
