The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction is recognized as one of the world's most authoritative and trusted sources of information concerning sexuality, sexual health and practices, and related issues. Now the Kinsey Institute has compiled a thorough, easy-to-read volume containing hundreds of answers to actual questions they're asked most often.
I had a chance to read both of Kinsey's reports years ago (one on men, the other on women) and what I learned from them has always made me wonder what in the hell people teach in sex ed (if anything) and how in the world are we, as a species still around? June Reinisch takes the basic principles behind the original questions and answers from the first set of researched items and updates (most) of them for the modern-day and we (sadly) get to see how far we have come in regard to sexual health, fitness, and understanding. SPOILER ALERT: It ain't far folks...
If you want to know what the other half may think about you, sexually, then this is a great book to get an idea of how 1990's America was at the time for sex, love, and lust. If not, just surf the internet, I am sure there are some sites that will give you a broader view of the world ;)
This book reminds me of the mimeograph pages we used to get in grade school. I had completely forgotten how complicated the human anatomy is. The book is in the form of letters written to the institute and then answered by the Kinsey researchers. I think this would be an excellent tool for adolescents to help answer their questions.
