Eating clean combines three aspects of healthy overall nutrition; emphasis on unprocessed foods; and healthy food preparation. This guide shows readers how to change their eating habits, without breaking their budgets or sacrificing taste. It provides a look how, what, and what not to eat; how to best prepare food; how to make quick, healthy meals; how to liven up nutritious foods; how to buy healthy on the cheap; and how to eat out.
•Numerous studies showing the dangers of eating processed and packaged foods, particularly for children
As an intro to clean eating, this was extremely informative and helpful. It includes some handy links that I bookmarked as well as some recipes that sound like something I might actually make.
This book had enough helpful information that I ended up buying a copy for myself.
As a newcomer at clean eating, this guide was a good start. This guide was easy to understand and gave me the basic foundations of clean eating . The first couple of chapters illustrate why clean eating is a better lifestyle (without condemning your current lifestyle) and gives you practical tips on how to be successful. I haven't tried out the recipes though. Truthfully, only a few look appetizing to me, but for the most part, they seem fulfill Welland's promise of being relatively simple and quick to make.
Very interesting book on a "new" diet with old roots. Good, practical recipes that can easily be incorporated into any meal plan. Realistic view on going clean and how to do it.
This is the first book I read cover to cover on clean eating. Since I knew practically nothing, this was an awesome overview that really gave me ideas on how to start making a lifestyle change.
