If you want a definitive guide about strategy from the minds of the best thinkers in the field, this is the book I would recommend. The collection of articles gives you multiple ideas on what strategy you can set in place for your organization. It provides the latest and best advice available as of its publication.

Setting strategy is complex but so does its execution and implementation. You will learn the difference between the two here.

Asked to create a strategy for a business characterized by uncertainty and changes after leaving a stable industry, this book has an article for that.

Reading this book is like attending a class full of strategy gurus. It’s worth my time.

Strategy is one of my favorite topics, so I really enjoyed these articles. These articles give a good overview of the strategic process and how to communicate a strategy within a company. It was a great reminder for me to focus on strategy at work.

Thanks to Harvard Business Review Press & NetGalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review!

Heavy on theory, light in practical applications

Harvard content is often great and almost universally trusted. There are some helpful theories and frameworks in here, but I thought it was a bit too theoretical and I was looking for a layer or two more toward practical application.

Solid, fairly practical tips. Either a good short introduction to business strategy development or a handy reminder. I left this as DNF as it wasn't really giving me anything I didn't already know - but some of the reminders from a skim did prove invaluable as I recently started setting up my own business.

An assortment of quick-to-read articles from HBR. I found relevance and great insight in about 60% of them. A rood reference resource for business strategists who facilitate end-to-end strategy for their companies or clients.

Listened to the book on Audible.
It has, similar to other HBR guides, a collection of chapter written by different authors. Topics discussed were interesting and mostly to the point. The narrator of book was good.

This compilation provided some intriguing frameworks for approaching strategy such as matching pairs of "where to play" & "How to win", or purpose-strategy-execution. Several pieces seemed jargony and filler-y.

Świetne podsumowanie tego jak formułować strategię dla zespołu, działu, firmy lub całej organizacji, niezależnie czy profit czy non/profit. Temat opisany jest z kilku perspektyw. Bardzo polecam.
