Okay for fans of the series, but there wasn't that much newly described. The quilt blocks and air-castle are the only things I can think of that weren't spelled out in the books, themselves (or simple enough that you could figure it out - button string).

If you're looking for numerous sidekicks to the books, this is fine, but if you want just one good "crafty" book, go with the cookbook.

Mostly needlework projects for girls- was hoping for a little more variety, especially projects that would also interest boys.

My mom and I made a corncob doll following the instructions from this book 8 years ago and,to this day,I still get compliments on it.
This is a great book and you won't be disappointed in it if you're a Little House fan.

Instructions were not clear. There are much better books for crafts that are based on pioneers.
