Krazy Kids' Food is collection of Vintage food graphics used to advertise children's products from the 1930s to the 1970s. This book features advertisements for such classics as Mr. Bubble, Maypo, Mr. Wiggle, Shake-A-Pudd'n, Tang and Space Food Sticks.
It is amazing how much product placement plays in our choices as consumers. Reading this book I was shocked at how early it starts...the graphics, commercials and stories associated with food geared towards children; truly eye opening. I look back on my own childhood and am amazed by how many 'jingles' still echo through my mind!
São só duas páginas de texto e o resto é pesquisa de imagens, mas é impressionante ver como o consumismo infantil era trabalhado no design já desde os anos trinta.
These icon books are a treasure trove for anyone interested in vintage illustration. They’re readable, with great quality images that put the artifacts first and foremost. I love seeing how much things have changed, and what sticks around. This kind of book is not for everyone, but for those who want to research this kind of art and time period, they’re real great!
Not what you'd call an engrossing read, but like most art books, fun to take off the shelf and flip through now and then. Kids' food packaging is really fun. I'd love to see a book collecting different cereal box art from the 50s, 60s, and 70s someday.
