Weren't the books 1950 and 1957, and when the second volume came out
they updated and revised things so it was a harmonious two book set?

if I recall right one was Louis Diat's cookbook
and one on Viennese Cookery

and i think maybe 1-2 other books till they started up a big publishing empire in the 70s 80s till they folded


Anything Gourmet Magazine published was great

good info , but dated pictures, i like to reference it every time I am making a big holiday feast, the menu's work well together.

This is for the Epicurean that wants to learn more about how to make a menu and deeper understanding of general higher taste recipes. You won't find any americana in here. I read this more for educational than cooking purposes... you can dumb down most of the recipes.
