Ricky and his Mighty Robot have to save the Earth from evil space villains! Three funny books!
Ricky Ricotta's mighty robot -- Ricky Ricotta's mighty robot vs. the mutant mosquitoes from Mercury -- Ricky Ricotta's mighty robot vs. the voodoo vultures from Venus --
In the book mighty robot adventure a boy named Ricky gets bulled and the mighty robot stops the bully's and Ricky and the robot become best friends and one day when Ricky and the robot were out side an alien attacked the robot and the mighty robot won the fight I recommend this book to people who like fighting and book series
I like that Pilkey kept his famous his flip-o-ramas in these books and has a how to draw the characters in the book at the end. Much more "acceptable" language/storyline than Captain Underpants, but maintains it's silliness that Captain Underpants fans love. I also like that each boo, with the exception of the first, has a different bad guy from each planet. That would makes these books fun as read alouds during a unit on space/planets.
AWARDS THIS BOOK HAS RECEIVED: none APPROPRIATE GRADE LEVEL: Kindergarten-3rd grade SUMMARY: In this book(the first of a series) we are introduced to Ricky Ricotta, a little mouse who is being bullied. One day the evil Dr. Stinky sends a robot to destroy the city, but the robot feels bad for the mice and gets in trouble for not following the instructions of Dr. Stinky. Ricky saves him from being decommissioned. They become friends and the robot helps Ricky teach the bullies a lesson. REVIEW: This book will help the children get motivated to read on their own. It has simple writing but it is full of action and adventure. In this age group children start to identify with characters and Ricky Ricotta is very identifiable, he is a little mouse who gets bullied and finds a friend (albeit a robot) to help him find his courage and stand up for himself. POSSIBLE USES IN THE CLASSROOM: This book can be used when doing the author’s profile since this author has several books in several formats. It can also be included in any lesson plans involving animals, bullying, friendship, robots, science and critical thinking (deciding what is right and wrong)
in this story there is a mouse who made friends with this huge robot and together they fought of all the bad guys but then stumbled on the biggest and meanest robot there is soythey strt of by having a huge fight over who is going to take him down they kept fighting over then came to a desision that they are not going to be together and they dont need eachother in there lifes but later on when each of them didnt know when they were going to fight but suddenly stummbled and found out that they wanted to fight him in the same time but he was to strong and agreed they would stick together and fight him together so they both fought along side eachother and destroyed the big robot. I recommened this story for people who love seeing people working together to stop whatever the problem is.
Super great early chapter book for a strong 1st-2nd grade reader. The color version is especially appealing and the sentences are short enough not to be daunting. I took turns reading it with my 7 year old and she could probably read it independently if she wanted to. Great challenge for kids who want something a little more "big kid" looking than a traditional beginning reader.
This book is about a little mouse that has no friends and gets bullied. He then makes friends with a robot and together they fight an evil scientist. I think this is a great book for children who are looking for a good adventure book to read. I really enjoyed reading this book.
This is simple reading. What I liked most is that it doesn't have snotty language, poor attitudes, or rotten words. The villian is Dr. Stinky Mcnasty, but his name is really the only crude word choice in the book. This book has a good message and was very enjoyable for my young reader.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book!! While it's not an epic classic book--it is a GREAT book for beginning readers. It was funny, had great flip-o-rama sections, and I really enjoyed the illustrations.
My kids (8, 6, 3) loved reading/listening to this, but not my favorite for reading out loud. Lots of color illustrations and short chapters good for younger readers.
Ricky Ricotta's Mighty Robot Adventures is a picture book that's a retelling of the story of 'Ricky Ricotta Mighty Robot' in a more picturebook format and basic black and white. It's intended for a younger audience of around 5-7 years old. The book is about a young boy mouse name Ricky finding and saving a giant mouse robot from an evil scientist and him becoming best friends with him and saving the city. I read this book through the internet archive/ebook format.
I rate it 4 stars because, while i personally think the visuals are kind of plain, the basic story at hand is enjoyable and the action is appealing. The artstyle is very cartoony and in black and white. The characters themselves are appealing to look at but do appear stereotypically drawn to fit their roles in the story (nerd/bully/evil scientist). There are funny and enjoyable parts to the story, such as the multi-story tall robot trying to help clean up Ricky's yard and it scaring some birds away. The action is the most enjoyable part, while not amazingly or complicately drawn, there's someone so entertaining about seeing a gaint robot fight a gaint lizard kaiju style. It's a simple yet entertaining story that I believe is suited for its intended audience.
I think young readers would be attracted to the action in the story. I think in an educational setting it could be used a student's first attempt at explaining a setting.
This is the story of Ricky Ricotta, a lonely little mouse who befriends a mysterious giant robot. The robot helps Ricky with his homework, stands up to the school bullies, and even saves the world by battling the evil Doctor Stinky McNasty! Using an amazing graphic novel format, even the most reluctant reader will find himself whizzing through the chapters.
Some of you might already be familiar with Mr. Pilkey’s work from his epic series, Captain Underpants. The Ricky Ricotta series features his same brand of unique humor, although slightly turned down for younger readers. First- and second-grade boys would probably love the juxtaposition of a tiny mouse teamed with a giant robot….at least, I sure did!
I really liked the format of these books. Each story has a similar storyline with different enemies from one of the planets threatening Squeakyville. I enjoyed the silliness and the flip-o-rama sections. Unfortunately the focus on fighting to defeat your enemy was not the message we wanted to instill in our children and found they began to hit each other a lot more as a result of reading these. I understand it was mutants or robots fighting and that so many books have that. It's just not the way we want our children to solve their problems. I hope to find another book series similar in layout that we can enjoy together as a family without the negative influence.
This is the first book I read with my 4th grade student and he seemed to really enjoy this book. It's about a little mouse who gets picked on and bullied until he gains control of this robot. At which point he and the robot are unstoppable together and this book is the story of how their friendship came to be and their adventures from that point on.
These are such great books for an early reader. Not a "reader" book. More of a story and beautiful illustrations. Cheers to Dav Pilkey and Dan Santat for turning my five year old into a voracious reader.
