Share in the joy of an unforgettable Green Gables Christmas - with all the feasts and treats that Anne would have enjoyed. This book shows you how to make these holiday customs of days gone by part of your own Christmas tradition. First a feature of Green Gable novels and art work is described and then you get detailed color "how-to" photos to make Green Gables items used (or would have been used) in the books. Beautiful glossy paper stock.

She has written companion books, edited important archival volumes, presented scholarly papers, and played a leading role in preserving and promoting Montgomery’s literary legacy through organizations and publications.
A collection of ideas for making ornaments and gifts, loosely based on the popular series created by L.M. Montgomery. There are also plans for a Christmas concert, and some yummy-sounding recipes.
This book feels dated and not just because they are taking their ideas from a novel set in the Victorian era. There's got to be a classier way of making these crafts than just with a mountain of paper doilies.
I so love this book. When my Mom got it for me, I read through it all and tried as many of the activities (cooking for tea parties, pressing flowers, learning to sew) as I possibly could. And now I am reading it with my daughter, who loves it just as much. Buy this for your nieces/daughters/granddaughters/friends!
Read in preparation for an Anne of Green Gables Christmas Party at the library...the craft section offered some useful ideas (if adapted for construction paper and glue, of course).
