4 BIG BAD WOLF STARS!

The English Doctor's Baby is every bit as good as the first two, and in my opinion, even better. I'm a nurse, so I enjoyed the Medical aspect of this story. And I was looking forward to reading Alex's story, and the author does not disappoint. This story captivated me from the start. Once I started, I just couldn’t put it down. Though the plot is straightforward and, you might say, predictable, but I was interested enough to see the details get filled in. And I can that this is my favorite book in the trilogy.

I adored Alex ever since I've read the first two books (The Spanish Consultant) (The Greek Children's Doctor) I was looking forward to reading his own story. In those books, we knew him as the fun and protective big brother of Katy and Libby. He's also a playboy who preferred blondes. But in this book, I was able to know the real Alex Westerling. He was such an endearing character. I fell for him straight off the bat. He wasn’t perfect, and he wasn’t at all what he seemed. He was not the asshole playboy that Jenny assumes he was, and he’s charming and protective and swoony.

I also liked the heroine Jenny. She has both the sweetness and determination of the usual Sarah Morgan heroines. She is easily one of the most relatable female leads. You respect her, and you get her. She speaks her mind, doesn’t take bullshit, and deals with matters head-on.

The chemistry between Alex and Jenny doesn’t truly manifest until much later in the story, which I liked since I’m a fan of slow-burn romances. The building sexual tension is completely addictive, as is the verbal banter between them. I loved the way the author gradually showed the change in them. Slowly but surely, you saw him changed, and Jenny became at ease with him; Jenny and Alex were so well suited it was uncanny.

Overall, The English Doctor's Baby is an excellent ending to a trilogy/series I enjoyed so much. The end was just how I wanted it to be. The epilogue to this is the best! I can’t help but smile just thinking about it.

Nurse heroine thinks doctor hero is the father of her late sister's child. Hero is the third triplet from the series and is a commitment-phobe. He's an emergency room doctor in Cornwall and lives in a sprawling beach-side house that was fashioned from four traditional cottages knocked together.

The story opens with the improbable scenario of the heroine on the hero's doorstep with a baby. She refuses a DNA test, so the hero decides to let his lawyers investigate while the h and the baby live with him. Oh, and she's also gotten a job at the same hospital so they can see each other day and night.

Heroine cooks and makes a home for the hero and he finds he likes living like a family. When his sister Libby (heroine from book two) arrives with her two daughters, they all spend time on the beach together. Then Libby is stung by a bee and goes into shock (this allergy was established in book one). It's a surprisingly fraught scene, so it's not surprising the H/h go to bed together for the first time after the relief of her recovery.

The black moment comes when the fax arrives and spells out the hero is not the father - a prominent married politician had a one night stand with the sister. Heroine flees, but doesn't get very far. Her car ends up in a ditch and hero rescues her. He produces a ring for an HEA.

There's a cute epilogue with all the siblings on their birthday at their parents' house. The H/h from book one have 7 year old twins. The H/h from book two have two girls. The H/h from this story have twins as well adopting the h's niece as their own child.

I liked this couple. They were well-suited and the hero was clearly smitten. Heroine was a virgin. Hero had a reputation, but had eyes only for the heroine. Lots of medical scenarios - a diving accident, blood clot, jelly fish sting, and bee sting to name a few.

The Westerlings, book 3, The English Doctor's Baby is the story of Alex and Jenny.
This book is the best of this series. What with the constant tension, the antagonism, the ever present attraction, Alex's relentless teasing and Jenny's awkwardness and her determination to do right by baby Daisy.
Alex is a gorgeous playboy, a born charmer. Jenny is shy and out of her depth with a man like Alex. I liked the analogy of Red Riding Hood and the bad Wolf.
I liked how the relationship developed between these two different persons as they get to know each other. From antagonism to admiration to love. I liked how Alex gets used to Jenny & Daisy's presence in his bachelor life and how he becomes bit by bit attached to little Daisy and how he is so tender with her.

Ed eccoci arrivate al terzo ed ultimo gemello Westerling, peccato che i libri si possano leggere in qualsiasi ordine tanto i fratelli compaiono poco nei libri e con pochi particolari.
Alex Westerling è un avvenente dottore, non ha legami e non mai promesso nulla alle donne che condividono il suo letto.
Un giorno sulla porta di casa compare una ragazza, Jenny, con in braccio una neonata.
Jenny sostiene che la piccola Daisy sia figlia di Alex e di Chloe, sua sorella morta prematuramente.
Ora Jenny vorrebbe che Alex si assumesse le sue responsabilità di padre.
Peccato che Alex sia convintissimo che la piccola non sia sua figlia ma in attesa delle prove dell'avvocato permette alle due di vivere nella sua casa.
Jenny è un'infermiera e ha trovato lavoro nello stesso ospedale di Alex.
I due iniziano una difficile convivenza, soprattutto perchè è Alex che Jenny stia in qualche modo cercando di incastrarlo.

Il libro aveva del potenziale: certo si capisce sin da subito quale sarà lo svolgimento della storia con la composizione della nuova famigliola e devo dire che la Morgan stava reggendo bene quasi fino al finale.
Ma poi ha messo delle forzature, che da una parte capisco perchè è un e-lit (gli harmony di una volta per intenderci) e quindi aveva un numero di pagine limitato però le folgorazioni improvvise non mi piacciono.
Avrei anche preferito una presenza maggiore delle sorelle che sono state protagoniste dei volumi precedenti.
I due protagonisti reggevano abbastanza bene fino all'80% del libro poi c'è stato il tracollo con azioni discutibili e dichiarazioni strampalate.

lama2 dia suka dan mau nerima baby nya walau itu bukan anaknya...

I liked Alex and Jenny’s story. Although a bit far fetched, the development of their feelings for each other was believable and well done. It made me believe in the strength of their eventual Happy ever after.

And there is a cute epilogue to all 3 siblings.

This is the kind of feel-good, easy read I love. It got 4 stars only because of how the story started which was a little put there for me. The baby is her sisters and the sister told Jenny Alex was the father. So she just shows up at his door expecting him (a "disreputable rake") to be ok with it and let her live with him. In any other world then fiction the cops would have been called. This is a little unbelievable to me which is the only reason it got 4 stars. She just starts living with him and refuses a DNA test bc she doesn't want the baby to be pricked🙄
Ok look past all that and I really enjoyed the story. I enjoyed the dynamics between the two. I especially appreciate that it was about the characters and not about sex. It seems like a lot of the books anymore are all about sex and not about the relationship. I like the relationship, I enjoy the building of the characters. This was seriously sweet. Alex growing and realizing he's in love with her. Jenny building a backbone and going after what she wants. I enjoyed this easy, light read.

I've been steadily bypassing titles like these bec i grew a big head and started thinking i was too good for harlequin - shame on me! Never forget your roots! Granted harlies, avons, silhouettes et. al. do tend to be a bit redundant but once in a while you find a gem that keeps you reading till 1:46 am crying your heart out and giggling and sighing.
It feels quite a bit nostalgic, i haven't read a harlie in over two years (though i did reread some old faves a year ago).
Takes me back to my younger years going to the used bookshop and finding a bunch of romances that fit my small budget.

This was just delightful. Jenny did get on my nerves more than a few times with her judgmental tendencies but other than that it was smooth cruising for me. I cried, I laughed and I definitely wanted a longer epilogue!

Super late review. Maunya sebelum akhir tahun 2019 aku udah nulis ulasan novel ini, tapi kelupaan mulu. wkwk.

Akhirnya melengkapi series Westerling terakhir, cerita tentang Alex dan heroine-nya lupa namanya, saking akut lupanya, wkwk, pokoknya menghibur mah cerita Alex ini. Meski author alias Mbak Morgan ini main aman banget bikin karakternya yang ceweknya perawat cowoknya dokter, gitu aja sejak Westerling #2 karena di #1 dokter-dokter tetapi okelah.
Aku suka karakter Alex di sini meski ceritanya aku dah nebak (iyalah, baca ulasan orang dulu wkwk). Tidak sebiasa Westerling #2, tetapi karena aku tidak berekspektasi, jadi lumayan dapet 2,75 dariku yekan. Tetap cinta pertamaku di #Westerling 1, karena aku merasa feel-nya lebih oke. Gitu aja, masih mau nyari karangan Mbak Morgan yang menohok emosiku ini. Semoga dapet. Sebelum kena book challenge 2020. wkwkwk

Akhirnya selesai juga baca kisah Westerling bersaudara. Antara tiga bersaudara ini yg paling menarik perhatian dari awal (pas baca kisah Katy) itu Libby, terus Alex, baru Katy (padahal yg pertama ku baca itu kisah si Katyㅜ)

Buku terakhir ini menceritakan si anak tertua dari Westerling bersaudara, yaitu Alex, yg tiba2 di datangi oleh seorang perempuan yg membawa anak perempuan yg dia klaim sebagai anak Alex dgn mendiang adiknya. Sebenarnya aku gak terlalu antusias buat nyelesaikan ini, soalnya udah brp hari ada di reading list tapi aku ga mood buat bacanya.

Tapi ternyata lumayan manis ceritanya, dan kupikir ini bacaan ringan karena aku ga terlalu memikirkan istilah medis yg disebut di buku ini.

Aku. Salah satu yang nilai buku dari sampulnya. Di benak langsung terlintas, "Gue yakin nih, pasti, si heroine dp duluan terus heronya gak mau tanggung jawab."

Dan... applause. Dengan sampul sederhana dan isinya yang aduhai .... kalo istilahnya Pak Atmo make plot meledak. Menghibur bangeeet. Luv luv. Yah, nama pasaran alex terwarna deh dengan intrik sifat dan profesinya.

Duh duh penasaran sama si Libby dan suami yunaninya. Luv luv Sarah...

This was my least favourite of the three Westerling books - because I don't like baby plots. It's still well written, with great medical details and I like Alex as a character, but this trope (or variant on the trope) just isn't my thing.

Jenny tiba-tiba muncul di hidup Alex, membawa bayi dari adiknya, dan mengatakan bahwa Alexlah sang ayah berdasarkan sang adik yang telah meninggal. Jenny menginginkan agar sang bayi dapat mengenal ayahnya, walaupun Alex bersikeras bahwa dia bukanlah ayah bayi tersebut.

Aku ralat. Kayaknya lebih demen cerita Alex ketimbang dua kembaran ceweknya yang lain 🙊

Aku suka penokohan Jenny. Dia nggak agresif, tapi cukup sensitif juga as cewek. Terus rasanya alurnya lebih kompleks juga, sih, lebih padat gitu dari yang lain. Dinamika hubungannya juga. So, 3.8 buat seri yang ini.

É um livro bem singelo, com um toque ingênuo e doce. A heroína está determinada que o herói assuma a paternidade da sua sobrinha linda, a adorável Daisy. A mãe morreu precocemente e a bebê de seis meses passou a ser sua responsabilidade. Ela praticamente invade a vida do solteirão convicto, o delicioso médico Alex. Ele é rico e tem fama de playboy. Ele afirma nunca ter se relacionado com a irmã da heroína, mas ela insiste e ainda não permite um exame de DNA. Ele então contrata um advogado para apurar o caso. Durante esse período, a heroína e a bebê passam a morar na casa do suposto pai. É lógico que durante a convivência eles se apaixonam. Alex é fofo e super competente como médico, ele simplesmente salva várias vidas durante o livro. Jenny é uma graça, muito inexperiente e verdinha nas coisas do amor. O livro apresenta uma situação surreal, qualquer homem acusado de não assumir uma paternidade teria se comportado de modo diametralmente oposto. Apesar de Alex sustentar a fama de destruidor de corações, nada disso é comprovado. O homem só trabalha, só falta morar na urgência do hospital, pelo amor de Deus! Enfim, apesar dos “furos” na trama, eu gostei, li rapidinho. Totalmente indicado para um momento em que não se está querendo nada complicado, e o grau de exigência está sob controle, de maneira que um romance fofo cumpre o papel à perfeição.

Selalu suka dengan Medical Romance...
Sudah baca 1 buku Westerling sebelumnya, dan akhirnya bisa baca buku ini. Ga nyesal belinya.
Alex adalah dokter UGD yang anti komitmen. Pers selalu memuat beritanya dengan gadis-gadis berambut pirang yang berbeda. Siapa yang menyangka jika seorang gadis berambut gelap datang ke rumahnya dengan membawa seorang bayi yang katanya adalah anaknya?
Jenny datang menemui Alex dengan membawa Daisy, anak dari hasil hubungan semalam Alex dengan adiknya Chloe. Meskipun Alex tetap menyangkal, Jenny yakin jika Daisy adalah anak Alex. Untungnya Alex mengizinkan mereka tinggal di rumahnya sampai mereka menemukan fakta siapa ayah Daisy sebenarnya.
Tapi tinggal di rumah Alex ibarat masuk ke rumah serigala. Jenny, ibarat si Tudung Merah, gadis baik-baik, yang berusaha menghindari pesona Alex. Alex sendiri belum pernah menghadapi gadis yang membuat dirinya senyaman yang dilakukan Jenny. Dan itu adalah daya tarik Jenny di mata Alex.
Meski temanya sudah biasa, saya tetap menyukai novel ini. Soalnya isi ceritanya ga fokus hanya pada hubungam Alex dan Jenny, tapi juga pada pekerjaan mereka sebagai tenaga medis.

Aku baca dengan urutan yang terbalik nih. Sebelumnya aku sudah terlanjur suka dengan karya penulis HQ yang sama, jadinya aku hunting novel dari penulis yang sama lagi. Karena tidak tahu urutannya (dan tidak cek ke GR juga), akhirnya aku gambling dan membaca yang ketiga dulu dah. :)))) Ya sudahlah. :P

Mungkin paruh awalnya ada beberapa bagian yang aku skip. Tapi jelas adegan buntut ketika Libby datang dan klimaks dimulai, adegannya berubah menjadi menggemaskan! Aku sejak semula sudah curiga kalau adegan yang mendasari kemunculan si heroine akan menjadi masalah. :3

I really like this book. Even it's almost like the other romance books, but I really really like the main character, both of the male & female. They're honest with their feeling.

Ketika pria tampan, canggih dan kaya raya berpasangan dengan wanita biasa yang tidak bermodalkan wajah tetapi punya sisi dan kepribadian yang baik bukan berarti Jenny itu tidak cantik.

Just like another Harlequin romance book, this book also has happy ending. Description and building of the characters are quite good. And the details of medical stuffs, includes the treatment and cases, are complete and well-told. Nice! Worth a re-reading a year from now :)

Another wonderful book for this series. Highly enjoyable and interesting.....another hot sexy charming brillant doctor that bites the love dust. Loved the fun enjoyable characters and the dramatic life or death scenes. Great book!
