Okay so I feel like this is a good time to address a second critiscm I have about this serie : no one knows how this competition works.
Seriously they all discover it as they go along so it feels like since the beginning the author didn't know exactly how the competition worked and kinda improvised? I don't think it's really what happens because they used precise langage. Like Shin saying he'd see Sena 'at the final' and not at the Xmas Bowl. Buuuuut it still feels a tad clunky that none of the new kids know which team they are gonna face at the Xmas Bowl. Everyone else knows. They should have mentioned more than the hints we got for the game with the Spiders.
It's a nitpick. But I am nippicky sometimes.

Eyeshield 21: And the Winner Is... continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (269–277) of the on-going manga series.

The tankōbon concludes the Kanto Tournament Final Match between Deimon Devil Bats and the Hakushu Dinosaurs. With only five minutes to spare and with the score tied, the Hakushu Dinosaurs broke the tie with a touchdown and a successful conversion, leading the score by seven points. During the last seconds of play, Sena Kobayakawa managed to score an amazing touchdown. In order to win, the Deimon Devil Bats have to go for a two-point conversion, which they were successful and winning the match 43–42.

In this match, Sena Kobayakawa learned that the real Eyeshield-21, the name he borrowed, was playing for the Teikoku Alexanders, the team that they would play in the Christmas Bowl – the Nationals. During the last two chapters, the Devil Bats pays a visit to Teikoku Academy, where they are overwhelmed and Sena Kobayakawa meets the real Eyeshield-21, Takeru Yamato.

This tankōbon is written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. For the most part, I really liked how the story is progressing. The matchup between the two Eyeshield-21s is an interesting concept. Takeru Yamato seems like a formable opponent for Sena Kobayakawa to overcome, but they both agreed that whoever wins the Christmas Bowl would be considered the real Eyeshield-21 – The problem is that Teikoku Alexanders has always won the Christmas Bowl since its inception.

All in all, Eyeshield 21, Vol. 31: And the Winner Is... is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems intriguing and I cannot wait to read more.

Wow they sure did sports all over them. And we see the next team to face, which apparently has been known for a while and is really important but we're only getting to know them now. They are really good! They are good at doing the sports! Hurray for them.
