“Life with kids is an amazing adventure—one I would not trade for the world. One of my favorite times of the day is when my kids snuggle up on my lap to read a few books before bed. I absolutely love how picture books capture their imagination, make them laugh out loud, and bond us closer together. To be able to provide those moments for other families with my own books has become one of my greatest joys in life.”

TITLE: THIS BOOK IS PERFECT AUTHOR: Ron Keres ILLUSTRATED: Arthur Lin PUB DATE: 12.09.2022 Now Available
Ron Keres writes a funny and also heartwarming story about Finn the Frog 🐸 who is proud to be perfect and clean. But as the pages turn, cheese puffs, juice, and gum start to dirty the pages. However, the gum also catches the flies that Finn absolutely loves. The story is fun and teaches a lesson that not everything can be perfect, that we can accept imperfection, that tomorrow is a new day, and we can always start over. It’s a great way to address anxiety in children and learning to accept imperfections.
Arthur Lin’s illustrations really pop off the pages. The colors are vivid, fun, and will draw giggles and emailed from the young readers. The messaging is simple and the illustrations perfectly complement the story line.
I recommend this book as the perfect read aloud book that will be enjoyed over and over again by children of all ages.
A very fun semi-interactive book. This reminds me of Sesame Street Grover’s “There’s a Monster at the End of This Book” book. With a different main character and dilemma, it will make kids and adults laugh and have fun. Wonderful illustrations as well.
This author is fantastic at writing children's books! This is the third book of his my three little girls and I have read and we can't wait for his next book! For any parent or kid who loves to laugh out loud...THIS IS YOUR BOOK!!! Grab yourself a copy and gift it to a friend with kids!! The book is PERFECT!!!
This book really was perfect... until...I can't tell you. You'll have to read it for yourself. I had a few chuckles, too. I know this book is for children but I feel this way about my books, lol!
Sarjassamme interaktiiviset hassuttelukirjat.
Finn the frog is a very tidy person and he wants to show us his book. The book made me laugh out aloud and I am sure kids would find it even more enjoyable. Beautiful illustrations and enjoyable read.
A delightfully FUN story to get children engaged in reading and books!!
What a delightfully fun story that will capture the interest of young children both with the interactive nature of the story and with the wildly fun and unique illustrations! Children will be screaming to interact with Finn the adorable Frog!! And that puts the children IN the story ... PERFECT!!!! Its a story they will want to hear read to them over and over; A story they will quickly tell in their own words to everyone; A story the will want to act out or pantomime (and that will spur imaginative play and creativity with their friends); and one that they will want to read themselves over and over as they become self readers! All in all ... A perfect book for every young child!!!
I am a speech-language pathologist (so I basically read children's books with kids for a living) and a children's author... and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! Finn the frog is a great character and his narration is hilarious. I love the illustrations-- they start out very minimal and that makes it much more dramatic when the pages become covered in splatters of color. Kids will definitely find this book funny (how can you not laugh at a panicked, screaming frog!?) and adults will find Finn charming. I really like that this can be used to spark conversations about being flexible or making the best of a less-than-ideal situation -- sure there's a mess, but at least it attracted delicious flies (kind of like "When live gives you lemons...") I can't wait to see more from this author!!!
Narrated by Finn the Frog directly at the reader, but it is about the book, not the frog! Or the frog who wants to protect the book at all costs?
It is such a fun read, almost interactive, that makes the reader laugh at every page and maybe make sure they are careful with books and not read them with buttery or cheesy puff hands, but every mess might bring something good with it, no?
For lovers of books about books, books with a moral, fun books, and lovers of Beautiful Oops!
Ron Keres has created a unique story kids will want to read again and again.
Finn is extremely proud to show off his book: the cleanest book you might ever encounter. But there's something suspicious on the reader's fingers that might change Finn's whole day.
This silly book reminds us that sometimes plans change, and it's OK to be proud of what we've accomplished, but it's also OK to relax and let things happen. A truly silly book that's perfect to read aloud.
Today I read This book is perfect. Finn, the frog, has a bit of an obsession with cleanliness. Ron Keres addresses it with humor that made me grin and my children chuckle. I will post a review on my Facebook page and I would recommend the book to other parents. I gave it four stars because it's not likely something we would read a second time.
Fun read-aloud with a clever twist about how a mess of a book page could actually be a cloud with a silver lining. Finn the Frog learns that while you should try to clean up as best you can, sometimes it’s okay just to turn a new page. Great balance of color and white space with the catchy illustrations.
What a cute, funny and engaging book. I think the target audience (3-7) will have lots of giggles reading this book. Ron has done an outstanding job with the story, and the illustrations are on point.
This is one of the cutest books I’ve read this year! Definitely a winner! So much fun for the kiddos and not one of those books I would get tired of reading with them. Give it a try, but make sure to put your snacks down first.
This children's book made me chuckle as I read it. Finn the frog likes things perfect and clean, but what do you have on your hands! Just wait until you find out what his snack is!
I've read other books by Ron Keres and loved them, so grabbed this one as soon as I saw it, and I'm so glad I did. It's a very engaging style that my children and I adore. Highly recommend this book to make children laugh!
I really enjoyed this one. Finn the Frog was pretty sassy and interacted with the reader a lot, and I think a lot of kids would get a kick out of the drawings and contents of this book. Can’t wait to read it to my nephew.
Really funny book. Rarely does a children's book make you laugh out loud. This one surprises you and does! Enjoyable for children and their adult reading companions. The pictures are wonderful and inventive, too. Great story line.
My 3 year old and I absolutely loved this book! Such a funny and clever concept, excellent writing, & engaging for kids! This is a must have family keepsake, one of those books the kids will remember forever.
