Dueling Pistols #2

The Wedding Affair

Rate this book
Returning from the war disillusioned both by men's violence and the infidelity of women, Major Anthony Sheridan is not surprised to find himself engaged in a duel. But he's only mildly interested in the tale of the cursed pistols—weapons that will reportedly lead him to true love. He gave up on romance when his fiancée, Felicity Merriwether, left him bleeding on a Spanish battlefield to marry another. Yet a chance encounter with the now-widowed Felicity and her young son arouses in Sheridan a desire he had vowed never to feel again...

As far as Felicity's concerned, Anthony left her in dire straits—pregnant with his child, a child badly treated by the unkind older man who took Felicity to wife. Young Charles is desperate to know who his real papa is, and Felicity cannot deny that she's pleased when Anthony strikes up an odd friendship with the boy. In fact, she cannot deny that she is pleased by Anthony's charming attention to her, either—despite the bad blood between them. It's a rift that will never be mended, unless both of them remember that true love means sometimes having to say you're sorry...

Katy Madison has always loved stories. As a child she was always lugging a book around. At the age of eight, after
Katy Madison having gone through over a hundred Nancy Drew mysteries, all the Laura Ingalls Wilder books—at least twice—and many others including her full weekly allotment of library books, Katy went to her mother and begged for a new book to read. Her frustrated mother handed her a romance novel. Katy fell in love with the romance genre. She quickly found where her mother hid the rest and began sneaking them out to read. She cut her eye teeth on books by Georgette Heyer and Mary Stewart, not to mention dozens of Barbara Cartland’s. With a nod to great Gothic novels like Jane Eyre and Rebecca, Katy offers up her gothic romance Tainted by Temptation.

Wedding

Another fabulous book! I love 💘 Katy 's style of writing. The first book had me laughing out from the beginning, this book started out a little more serious, but the further I got in the book more comedy was found. Great characters, mystery, love and comedy make a very good day of reading.

Fun Read

While The Wedding Redux is definitely a fun, enjoyable read, as Katy mentions in her Afterward, editing isn't complete. Some of the errors were easily overlooked, but others made me cringe. The good news is that regardless, I enjoyed reading it and I look forward to reading more books by Katy Madison.

Suspenseful Love Story

I enjoyed this book and was deeply impressed with Major Sheridan. The development of his character made me wish for a good ending for him. I felt Felicity was a good match

I was very disappointed in this second book! It had some romance, mystery

and a lot of drama. Your first book had romance well developed characters, mystery, humor and drama as well, it left me feel good. This second book left me feeling weighed down and sad.

The Wedding Redux.

I read the first book and continued with the second book. It has intrigue but not enough romance. The main couple just didn't feel natural. It was ok.

Much better than The Wedding Duel. Really enjoyed Tony and Felicity. Props to Katy Madison for writing a female character who refused to be restricted by society's rules for her. Felicity is a woman who wants to rule her finances and not let a man take the credit for her successes. She sticks to her guns and refuses to give Tony what he wants until he can learn to respect her thoughts and feelings. She is the main reason I stuck with reading this book. The first in the trilogy was a DNF for me but the premise for the second book struck me as interesting and was the reason I checked it out.
