Tells the story of how Charles Darwin developed his controversial theory of evolution based on the research he conducted during his voyage on the HMS Beagle. Written in graphic-novel format.
This graphic novel biography offers a short, but interesting overview of Charles Darwin's life. It is one of the books in the Graphic Library Inventions and Discovery series of nonfiction graphic novels. The narrative consists mainly of dialogue and the illustrations are very colorful and detailed.
Our girls weren't overly enthusiastic about reading this book, but I found it to be somewhat humorous. I think that it's a good introduction to Mr. Darwin and the study of evolution, even if it's not very comprehensive. While not very useful for a research project, this book would be handy to get to know more about the person in general.
